I find the use of drugs dumb and harmful to your body. Ive watched some of my closest high school friends descend into addictions of some less powerful drugs, but its still very painful. One of them started just smoking weed when his brother had some. Now the cycle continued till he was kicked out of college, and live in an apartment across the street from where he grew up. He is a musical genius but all he does is drink (tons) and smokes and does whatever else he can get his hands on.

Drugs = Dumb.

Weed is mentally addictive (i'll explain that in a sec) and most importantly, it gets you into the drug scene.
As "harmless" as it is, getting your foot into the door of the drug scene can be quite bad.

Now there's two kinds of addiction. Most hard drugs are physically addictive. Meaning if you get addicted to, say, heroin...and quit cold turkey by someone tying you down or something and not allowing you to get your fix, it could actually kill you. You can literally die if you're addicted enough to a hard drug and go into withdrawal. If it's bad enough anyways, otherwise you'll just go batshit insane.

Mental addiction (or, psychological addiction) just means you want, desire, crave to feel the way the drug makes you feel. Often people who smoke weed too often (I believe it was 3-4 times a week) start getting addicted to being high, and start feeling awkward or odd when NOT high. Thus, they want to get high to feel "normal" again. That is a definite sign of mental addiction, and I doubt I need to say, addiction is bad in most any case. So when people say pot isn't addictive, they're bullshitting themselves. It isn't physically addictive, but it is mentally addictive...and people still do stupid things to get a fix.

For medicinal use it makes perfect sense to use pot. It helps pain, a lot. I'm sure most people would rather be addicted to pot then be in pain all the time. However, recreational use is incredibly pointless and can easily be harmful to your life.
Like most people should know, and I said it before, weed is a gateway drug. People find it hard to believe, but if you're hanging with some friends, or at a party, and you're a bit drunk/high...you're not thinking at your best, and you could quite easily be willing to experiment. You could say "but if that's the case, even non-drug users might say yes." but that really isn't the case. If you're someone who parties, but doesn't do drugs...you're much, much less likely to accept any drugs even when drunk.

It's hard for me to summarize studies, and a good chunk of psychology into this blog. Google it. There are tons of explanations on how weed as a gateway drug works.

Personally, i'm sick of the entire drug and alcohol scene, and i've lost too many close friends to it as well. It just sickens me when I see drug users, but I am certainly biased.

I share the belief the being uneducated about drugs may be one of the worst positions to be in, if that day comes that you're actually introduced to them.

I'm one to say you're better off not going down that path... but I'm also one of those who have tried at least Marijuana. It was fun, but I'm disciplined enough to not partake in the regular sessions my brother and friends do. I would try it again, when I'm more or less set with how life is going (right now going abroad to go to college, big no no.)

Also, I'd rather spend on very good food. And electronics.

I'm using marihuana for like 23 years everyday (6-7 joints a day)
I wont advise anybody to smoke everyday because you will forget like half the things that happen around you

But for once in a while, to enjoy,. i see no problem with that. Especialy when you get a vaporizer. (getting high without smoke> healthier)
For a more intense experience you can also try to get some mushrooms, never eat to much always take little portions every 15 min.

Harddrugs is something else, lsd, amphetamine, coke, crack, pills >> dont get yourself that crap, thats what destroys life. I think that smoking a joint with a bro can be an awesome way to have some fun, and that wont destroy your whole life or anything close

Marihuana should not be sold by criminals that also sells hard drugs, thats so wrong. Gouverments fault....

A. I don't like the idea of Euphoria, and I don't like the idea of being detached from reality.
B. I don't like things that make me lose myself, temporarily or otherwise
C. Don't really have a reason to
D. Don't want to
E. Don't care about them
F. I don't like the idea of a foreign substance influencing/altering my personality

But there is plenty of ways to achieve euphoria other than drugs. Achieving orgasm, the feeling after exercising, massage, etc (ie anything that can release endorphins). So you don't like the feelings/ideas of those?

Anyways... yes*, specific drugs, sometimes.

*only drugs done: alcohol, pot, vicodin, adderal (to be fair those last 2 were prescribed

We were a big company and we had a little weed and we talked about that the human race is from the space and that someday the aliens will come to earth to visit us and take us from here!!! That's all I remember from that day!

I've never personally tried any kind of drug, outside of Tylenol for a headache and some NyQuil for a fever. (And some other medicines like those when I was younger, I'm sure.) Oh, and a glass of wine with a very close friend on New Years Eve last year. I do believe that everyone should have a choice, and I don't think certain drugs that are illegal should be. It's your life - as long as you aren't ruining some one else's life, I don't see a problem.

i used/use alcohol allot .........wine (white one) at the top even thought in europe the use of alcohol is very widespread
for example in italia the use of wine on lunch its like a tradition/culture ,also the "safe age" law for drinking alcohol does not exist in some European states (like mine)
said that about the only drug that i like ,i didn't try any other one ,and a lot of mine friend use weed and some friend of friends (1/2) have tried hard one ,like coce ect
but actually the ones who used hard drugs didn't (or i didn't noticed ) got addicted but strangely the one who use weed got, this is why im amazed that none of the members here wasn't addicted to weed ,well good for you

but this doesn't mean that you cant ,believe me is easy as hell
and my policy for the people who use regularly medium drugs ...........well is the same that i use in my life in general "live and let live"
and my policy for the people who use regularly hard drugs ..........well i cant really stand them, dont ask why but i just cant :S ,i know its wrong but........

well for the funny story of the people under the "effect" well once one of my friend smoke so much weed that ...while still washing its head under the sink laugh for like 40 min saying "please leave my wallet alone as its virgin" and then......still washing its head got a sleep.......

I'd compare it to a quick acid trip. I don't think it's addicting at all. Its effects do not last long at all. They recommend having a sitter when you use it. Depending on where you are it's completely legal. Even in most of the US. Do some research on it. Some Indian tribes use it for a spiritual thing
