Does anyone remember tehskeen?

That site used to be really good until the idiot owner lost the website backup. It was such a shame as that was one of my favorite websites for the hacking scene,if the owner wasn't so cheap and would have gone with hostgator they would have been able to restore the site. The site must have made a solid 1000$ a month atleast off ad revenue. It's too bad really... Anyways anyone else have nostalgia over this?

2) since when does any cheapo web hosting have backup policies beyond "what backup by default?"?

But yeah I remember it, never really went on it or moved in the same IRC circles though. The owner went by the name Brakken in case you were struggling to recall it.

Just found the thread here https://gbatemp.net/threads/tehskeen-sold-out.222779/ lol. Such a shame,I loved the website. I had a website with 80k forum members and we had a rogue admin and hostgator would always restore my website to how it was a few days before.

I have no idea where he went,personality problems are quite common on the internet to be honest. I am no angel,but you have to be mentally ill to drop a website that makes 1-4k a month due to nerd rage.

Well, I remember in the final days of tehskeen he left a suicide note on the main page of the website and he was found with an overdose of psycopharmacs, just in time to save him from dying.
Serious problems I mean.

You are right! I forgot all about that,man time flies way too fast. That must have been atleast 7-8 years ago. Who knows if it was actually true or if he was just using it as an excuse to shut down the website. I have no idea. Nowadays its pretty much gbatemp and elotrolado.
