Hacking Do I HAVE to format my SD card to play Pokemon BW?

Searching shows that you have to format your sd card and THEN install Akaio 1.8.6

Is there no way to do it without formatting?

You don't have to, but it's makes it have a better chance of working, I guess you could say.

Whenever I change firmware, I normally don't format, and I've never had anything bad happen.

If it doesn't work, you could just back up your saves, then format.

You don't HAVE to but there is so little time lost doing it so why not? I don't do it but I can't blame AKAIO or something like that if something doesn't work because I skipped formatting.

Whenever I install a new firmware, I reformat. Just helps me start with a clean slate.

if its saves and roms ur worried about u can back em up and put em back on ur card after format
