I generally find there are always those that adopt the style they were when they were 15-22. To that end give or take the relative healthiness of the lifestyle you will still be able to find examples of the concept decades into the future.

Like the Hot Topicore scramz and Post Hardcore stuff seem to be dead, but the 1990s twinkly emo revival is still alive and kicking.
