In order to use the gamepad as a controller you have to inject the game via uwuvci or teconmoon right to the wii u menu.
Darn, I thought it'd be similar to

It says placing multiple ROMs and starting the software will display a debug menu where users can choose their ROM. I assume the same doesn't apply with Gamecube and Wii?

I think it only works for N64 games, but you can try it.

I did try this, weirdly enough it works basically perfect on vWii, but I had issues on mobile dolphin:
1. this error message: Invalid write to 0x00001bb2, PC = 0x80001800
2. the game soft-locking when i tried to give furniture to a villager that requested it, i became unable to press the A button.

Edit: and it flat out crashes desktop dolphin.

Can anyone confirm its only a dolphin issue and vWii/real Wii is a-ok? its hard to get ACCF discs where i am

Hi, I’m one of the people who play-tested this mod on console and Dolphin, as well as helped a bit with the English translation. I also provide support on the discord server and saw this thread there.

If you’re playing on Dolphin (mobile or desktop) you *need* to use the inbuilt Riivolution support. The ISO builder is unstable with this game on Dolphin and crashes at random points with no discernible pattern. It also breaks many villager interactions and we have no idea why. Please use the officially supported method from the website for playing on Dolphin. It works on mobile as well - just need to adjust some folder locations.

For what it’s worth, we don’t have an issue with people wanting to play via a USB Loader GX or a VC inject, most people’s disc drives are broken at this point lol. It’s just that we have had so many issues with these methods of playing that it’s not worth officially supporting.

Hello everyone,

After plenty of messing around, I've made a guide on how to get ACCF Deluxe onto the Wiiu with these benefits:

  • Gamepad support
  • Classic Controller support
  • Does not require your disc running in the machine

This guide must assume you already have a WiiU and that it has Aroma. In my case I have a copy that I dumped. Mine is called:

Animal Crossing - City Folk (USA).iso

Mine happens to be USA, English, and Rev0. It will matter later, but it'll be easy enough to figure out the minor changes needed. wbfs files work and can be converted mid process, don't worry. I'll also take this guide nice and slow. More people that can figure this out, the more towns we can all visit! By the way, this is my first time trying to format, so this post will likely get cleaned up.

Required Software + Downloads

Part 1:
  1. Download all files (minus the Gecko Controller File) linked above, then extract each into their respective folder. You can delete the zip files for the wit, dolphin, accfd, and isobuilder
  2. Open the "wit-v3.05a-r8638-cygwin64" folder, and run "windows-install.exe" to install.
  3. Run UWUVCI_INSTALLER to install it. You won't need uwuvci until the end.
  4. Open RiivolutionISOBuilder.
    1. Following the program, select your game. then select your riivolution XLM file located in ..\accf_deluxe_v1.1.2\riivolution the file required should match your version of the game. Mine is Rev0 and USA, so I click that.
    2. Thirdly, save the file into the "Dolphin-x64" folder as "accfd_patched".
    3. Say "Yes" for Core, and "No" for Classic Controller
  5. Open Dolphin. Set the game's directory as "Dolphin-x64". The game should pop up. Right-click -> properties -> filesystem
    1. Notice the data partition name. Mine, for example is "RUUE01". WIll be handy later.
    2. Right click Disc - > Extract Entire Disk. Instead of extracting into dolphin, extract into the main folder containing everything. In my case, the "tutorial" folder. It will be called "DATA"

Part 2:

  1. Open the "accf_deluxe_vX.X.X" folder -> "accf_deluxe" -> "game" -> "Brewster"
    1. There is a long list of module files ending in ".kmdl" Find the version that matches your game. in my case, mine is: "module.USA_REV_0.RELEASE.kmdl"
    2. Copy that file, and paste it into ../DATA/files which is the extracted game
    3. rename this file module file to "module.kmdl"
  2. Go back to the top folder (in my case "tutorial") and in the address bar, type "wit copy DATA accfd_final.iso"
    1. This iso file can be called whatever you'd like. It is an iso that technically works, but without the gamepad support.

Part 3:

The next steps includes gamepad support like you deserve.

  1. Remember that Gecko Controller file, and that disc partition name (RUUE01)? You need that Gecko website (here). Secondly, you need to go to Vague Rant's post on the Gecko Controller Code
    1. On the GCT (Gecko) website, name the "Game ID" your disc partition name/your game title name (RUUE01). Name the code title something like "Classic Controller"
    2. On Vague Rant's post, choose your version & region of your game and copy the code for the left stick control (it's the one that'll actually be useful compared to the right stick code) and paste it in the code box on the GCT website
    3. Click "Add Code", then click "Download GCT", then save it to the same folder containing your final iso.
  2. Finally, boot into uwuvci.
    1. Select "Get GCT File" to retrieve your gecko file. Next to it, select the "Classic Controller" option.
    2. I also check "remove VFilter" (personal preference). For the path, select your new, fully made and working iso file.
    3. Get your SD card ready for injection because that's basically it!
You'll have to figure out how to get online to work, but I say look towards WiiLink.

Lemme know what your friend code is, once you get it all figured out!

Thank you for everyone involved with the software and instruction on how to do it. I figured just a very simple step-by-step guide will help everyone that's newer.
This works on the Wii as well; I need instructions on how to install it on my Wii without a disc😭
