I don't think there is any reason to do that.

Note about translation:
Oh my god, I hate these attack's details.
Most of them are not useful, only if it inflect status change.
They are giving me a whole of headache :S
 
I hear you yugix one of my projects has the same. except reduntantly....
But the good news is you can leave this for another translator and/or move on to the other stuff every now and then. just do a little then do some of the other stuff and then go back... You decide what you work on right...

Forgive me, for I will not be dumping all the animations... the sheer amount involved... I will continue on with the images that need an edit but anything that needs more than 2 minutes of potential work I am moving on from (the stuff that doesn't need an actual translation - I mean).
Can someone provide me with the link with the google docs page that has the town names in it, please? It will probably be easier to work from that page instead of waiting for a translator to look at the images....
(even though I told someone to stop being lazy and read here I am being just as lazy,sigh...)
 
Don´t sweat it, I don´t think we´ll need every button that says to press A to confirm or B to cancle to be translated

I wasn't saying that..
I was trying to say that the digimon animations - those won't be completely dumped. Anything that needs a translation I will still be working on. Its just taking way more time than I thought to go through these files one by one and I am not even matching the palletes with the graphics or the nanr to the right graphics - right now. I am just going through them one by one trying to get any and all stuff that needs an edit out so I can work on it later. I will be posting a list of the graphic files that will need a translation and my progress on editing them on my blog/here once I get them dumped.
so far 70 images that need work but then I am not even a third of the way through the spr files.
which compared to other games still isn't that much.
 
Just jumping in to say that I can't wait for this. Thanks for all the effort you guys are putting in to do this

I was browsing the internet and found this online.

It's apparently the entire script for the game. It's being worked on by whoever can contribute. (please don't edit anything unless you're willing to help)

According to DS-Scene they have "Digimon Names 100%. Digimon Info 100%. Evolution Tree + Info + Requirements 60%. Menus 100%. Items 100% + Details 0%. Quests 0%. Story 5%. Location Names 100%."

I don't know if the people that are working on this (GBAtemp's) patch have noticed the DS-Scene's one or not. I tried searching through the topic, but I was unable to find my answer.

If the GBAtemp group's patch is more polished and complete then I guess disregard DS-Scene's. If not then it would be cool to see the two groups collaborate.

I'm sorry if this has been posted already.

The spreadsheet was added by Normmatt here and the one who did these was Takoman which both is working in this project.

The Thread in DS-Scene was create be Suaqua and it is not updated yet since we finished the Requirements, info, Quests and we are working now in details.

As a matter of updating, I have finished the Special Effects and Traits and Support details and working wonderfully. But, I'm kinda stack in this attack details and now trying to fix something else so I can return to it after.

I heard about this project on With the Will forums and thought I would join here to show my support. I am psyched that someone is finally attempting a translation of this game. Also, I would urge that the translators use the original Japanese terms. The English dub consistently screws up spellings and concepts, and I'm tired of the crappy job they do. By the way, I noticed in a screenshot a while back that the Baby level bird Digimon was labeled Falcomon, when it should actually be Chicchimon. Falcomon is a Child level Digimon. If any of the translators need help with Digimon's names or attacks, I'd be happy to aid them.
 
Well, you´r right with the name, but thats just the shown name the digimon was given by the player, I´d say he just didn´t change it after deevolving or or so. I trust the translators with what they are doing

As you could see, I use almost the japanese terms for digimon for the same reason you mentioned.

As you said, I didn't change its nickname after degenerate since I was only doing this to show progress of translation

Ah, I forgot that the name remains the same when they evolve/devolve. Sorry about that.
 
first of i just wanna thank you all for your hard work into making a eng translation

second if it isn't to much trouble can i ask for an update into how far you are in the translation

Oh and while we are on the subject, does the button to "auto rename" the Digimon after evolving/devolving to the new official name, like devolving greymon into agumon and then tap the I think most left button on the renaming screen to auto change the input to Agumon, run with the translation? ie. does it take the new name from the translated name in the .pak file and copy/paste it into the inputline, or do we have to rename by hand like in the other Digimon DS games before Lost Evolution?

its just that I thought I came across the menu graphics, but from the screenshots posted on dsscene it looks like someone has gotten them already..
not complaining just wondering.

I would still like a link to the google docs page with the town names and possibly character, if someone would be kind enough to provide it or explain to me the way to get to it?

otherwise I am up to 2020 in the spr graphic files... where I got stuck trying to figure out puzzle style something that looks like menu stuff....but because of the way it is set up i may have no choice but to "number" or "alphabetize" the sections so as to see which gets loaded where...when I come across it in game play...
which no$gba and ideas both stall at the same point for me....

Sorry I forget to answer your question.
As I checked, the auto naming will rename it to Translated name. Unfortunately, the names are all CAPS since I had to do it to fix one issue.

I don't think anyone is working on graphics.

As I told before, Ds-Scene screenshots was taken from my screenshots in this topic. The changed menu is only by text and I was the one who changed them.

I didn't understand, what exactly do you want. since Character names are in PAK000 and town names are in either 001 or 002 ( i don't remember). Tell me exactly what you need and I will provide you with it asap.
