Looks pretty good, Only feedback I have: Make the colorsplash behind cloud bluegreen like the lifestream to fit it better to the character :)

Maybe I'll do that. The reason I picked these four colours, are that they appear on the Playstation logo.

Hey I was using the nsp build the other day, I was using the pcsx core, quit retroNX by pressing the home button and then pressing the X button, turned on RetroNX later and all my roms just vanished off of my SD card, is this a known issue?

I was using a exfat formatted card if that helps, also the storage space those roms were using was still being used when I popped my SD card into my pc to check on things, really weird.

Short answer: Yes. The exFAT file table has no built-in error checking. Your method of closing RetroNX pretty much assured the failure, as it never had time to save anything. If you want a long answer, search this thread. It's been asked, and answered, many many many times already. ExFAT cards are not supported (and heavily discouraged) for the very reasons you've just experienced. Mouser X over and out.

May i ask how did you format the sd card exactly?
You happen to formated it using a mac?

When you interrupt a writing process, the exfat filesystem corrupts. Pretty much - end of story.

As nowadays people like to exit apps by pressing the home button "like they just dont care, through your hands in the air", chances are - that they pretty much encounter the issue frequently.

Because people dont read retroarch tutorials, they also dont know when the app is saving, or how to exit it cleanly. (Hint the app tells you when it saves, and there is a quit option.)

Also - yes, file system corruption corresponds with "all your roms being gone".

Mystery solved.

Most likely cause: People having grown up with iPhones acting like people who have grown up with iPhones.

Disclaimer: Using a filesystem thats this prone to filesystem corruption is a bad idea, regardless.

Most likely cause: People want free pirated games - and therefore go with exfat to circumvent the 4GB limit.

Mystery solved.

"But have you formated using Mac, because my uncle working at Nintendo told me, ..."

Mystery solved.

"But could you tell me step by step how to quit retroarch correctly." No, because this forum doesnt pay us to explain to you exactly how to rtfm.

Next step on some guys agenda "Please explain to me how to use Windows/my Phone/my dishwasher gbatemp edition.

Everyone is welcome, the more people ask these questions the more adrevenue for the site owners. Register toda¥. For free. Also make a poll to get your answer most quickly.

Anecdote to make this a personable posting. Watched a german gameshow recently. They had a public poll round with 1000 people in studio. They were wrong pretty much all the time. The game show could just have skipped that segment. But producers didnt know how intelligence of the masses works, and that "first impulse response" is a bad idea, even aggregated. Made me laugh. (This personable segment was brought to you by the "we are not your human gig economy workers allowing you to use your software without learning to use it" segment of this forum. Maybe we should unionize at one point.. ;) )

edit: This would be our first basic principals

1. refuse to answer RTFM questions
2. refuse to answer questions that we dont find interesting (perhaps, because we have attended to answering them dozens of times before)

Make people feel a little, that just asking support questions and pulling up "what should I do" polls, is not the peak of civilization. ;) I might even might do all of the advocacy for free.. ;) Create some memes and PR banners, see how it goes.. ;)

Come to think about it, PSX games f.e. didnt always indicate when they where auto saving. General game saves are not indicated by Retroarch either. Auto saves to savestates are though.

Good luck.

edit: Exit to game menu, exit game (close content), exit retroarch via the quit option - still sounds like a pretty save bet though.. ;) And dont do it while retroarch is saving a gamestate. Which it will tell you in big yellow lettering.

But of course, this is just common sense and applied logic, so please feel free to put up a poll asking the same question instead. And dont forget the "it just doest work anymore, I did nothing" option. Its usually quite popular.

Lol. I'm surprised by how watchable some of them look. Haven't found any of the Shrek/Shark Tale movies, but wouldn't want to with their 3fps due to compression.

Why are the overlays all over the place? I try to mess around with aspect ratios to try and get them just right but my switch crashes when I do that.

Description
Custom aspect ratio seems to not work. When I set "Aspect Ratio: Custom," "Integer Scaling On," and choose different Custom Aspect Ratio Width and Height numbers, there's no change to the game screen size. Tested using Handy core.

Expected behavior
When I use custom aspect ratio and change width and height from "9" and "7" to "4" and "3", the game picture should become smaller

Actual behavior
The game picture remains scaled to fullscreen height, regardless of custom aspect ratio height and width settings

Steps to reproduce the bug

- Load a game in Handy core.
- Video->aspect ratio->custom

- Video->integer scaling -> on
- change aspect ratio height and width
- exit menu
- observe that display of game has not changed size

This is expected behaviour.
Custom + Integer scaling would crash your system (i "disarmed" that case)
Not to say I don't honor the values u put in for "custom" (and force fullscreen)
