I love those FDS and Famicom covers! Thanks so much, Mastershoes! (^ー^)ノ

Would it be possible to link a PNG template of those two? I've got quite a few games I would love to make covers for.

I'd like to issue a challenge to anyone with free time:
Make at least 2 covers a day. Currently, the gameboy libraries (all of them) are incomplete, as are the game gear and turbo grafx 16. Shoes has done an enormous amount of work for us. We should help him out a little! :yaywii:

Just wanted to know, is there a boxart pack for all of the Virtual Console/WiiWare titles? My WiiU/vWii will only obtain maybe 3 or 4 at a time, before wiiflow crashes, and I have to unplug my system. I tried looking online, for a PC program that will find all of the boxarts for VC/WiiWare titles, but the links are broken due to age. Is there a pack online somewhere to obtain them all at once, is there another program, that will allow me to obtain them all at once? Thanks for reading!

I realize this is super old but the work done here is amazing. Curious if anyone anyone has been working on newer systems or know a resource just as valuable as this one. I realize the emulators for these systems are not finished but they are well on their way and since I no longer have my consoles, but most of the game, I am eager to play them again.

The systems I am wondering about are Wii, PS2, PS3, Xbox, Xbox 360, etc.

Thanks :)

I ask simply whether wii64 / not64 has the ability to display the preview image of the game . Or the covers . And how to insert them .
Thank you.

No it doesn't. You can use plug in systems for wiiflow (full covers) or postloader (2d) to display covers. Not supported by wii/ not64 standalone.

Sigh, Just bought more. You should be good now.

To everyone on that note... If anyone is interested in donating to help with hosting costs for this thread, I will gladly accept... Doing the work and then also having to pay kinda sucks! Over the last 5 years, it's cost me quite a bit. I finally added a Donate button this week. Please Help! :)

Also.. I'm working on a set of about 300 Amstrad CPC covers I was sent awhile back. When I finish re-aligning them all I will post them (hopefully by March).

And Finally... I am always working on something, this thread is not dead. It's just that I recently moved into a new house, and am getting married in September, and that's kept me pretty busy lately, and probably will continue to for the next few months. So basically at this point, the more free time I have at work, the more I can get done. I have plenty of pending updates for you all.

Have fun,

ms

Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.

The phat model had amazingly loud speakers tho.

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

Nothing special about it other than it's more comfortable than the Lite
    for people with beefy hands.

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

    but that's a long shot

i think only the red mario kart edition phat was v5

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.
  • AncientBoi @ AncientBoi:
    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
