i already have it worded out, they go in the folder"covers" on wiiflow, an inside a "movie folder. they needed t be 224x224, though they look a little sqaushed.( they should be 124x164).
thanks for everyone's help. was a pain in the dairy ares but it (they) work.

Those are some goofy dimensions for a movie cover!! Are you using front covers only? I'm using sizes that are around 1017x680. I can't imagine how terrible a 124x164 cover must look!
the only size i could get to show, are the same size as your gameboy covers (224x224). no other cover would show up i wish i culd use the size you are. that would be nice.
cause i use movie posters for covers. so when i download them they are the normal size as the wii game covers or a little bigger. yes an it's front covers for now. (just wanted to get them to show first.)

Hey, I know you're pretty busy, MasterShoes, but has anyone bothered to make covers for wiiware? Also, what if there were covers made for homebrew apps. With the dimensions of the HBC buttons on front, and a full screen back with a description and controls? just a crazy idea I had :/

mastershoes, if you want to put our spiffy covers logo on the first post as well, you can do that. I posted spiffycovers in its own thread but the mods locked it.

http://gbatemp.net/t...-spiffy-covers/

lol you should pm GBATEMP staff and get an exception since you aren't advertising just for your website, but for all users of GBAtemp to download covers for their loaders

I wrote to the moderator that closed it and explained that to him and apologized.... no worries, this can be my thread as well if mastershoes is ok with that. We are both working towards the same goal.

Edit:
After talking with a moderator, they opened up the thread again YAY!

@[member='mastershoes'], Little suggestion for your thread, maybe post a "last updated" and "%complete" on each of the sets so people know if they're up to date or not.

So is spiffycovers now setup such that wiiflow will read a rom's CRC and download the appropriate cover for that game?
Also, does wiiflow now read every game's CRC before displaying the full list of covers? Would that not slow it down?

Rom's CRC is real good addition. The database will be huge to build, though, with all the hacked and translated roms.

What makes me a little sad is that we'll never see computer's emus (so no covers?!) such as Amiga/Atari St or even Dosbox, implemented in Wiiflow due to less interest and a much harder task :a LOT of games, multi disks, and different configurations depending on the game launched.
If it happens someday, I invite every Gbatemp's members interested to taste a giant meal with a daube and good wine.

I think it just calculates/reads the CRC when downloading the game cover. It would then just need to rename the cover the same as the ROM file so it could be used the old fashioned way. That's what I would assume, anyway.

@[member='mastershoes'], Hey, instead of my previous suggestion of posting each cover set's completion status, maybe you could just put together a list of the games that aren't done yet, and then check them off when they're done. That way others would know what still needs to be done and might contribute some covers here and there.

My game covers work but they are out of proportion. I was wondering if someone could let me know where I should put MasterShoes EmuFlows code that he was kind enough to share with us earlier?

e.g.:

[_EMUFLOW_2]
blur_factor=1.200000048
blur_radius=2
blur_resolution=0
bottom_angle=0, 0, 0
bottom_delta_angle=0, 0, 0
bottom_delta_scale=1, 1, 1
bottom_spacer=0, -2, 0
camera_aim=0, 0, -15
camera_aim_4_3=0, 0, -15
camera_osc_amp=0, 7.450580597e-09, 0
camera_osc_amp_4_3=0, 7.450580597e-09, 0
camera_osc_speed=7.823109627e-07, -3.725290298e-08, 6.705522537e-08
camera_osc_speed_4_3=7.823109627e-07, -3.725290298e-08, 6.705522537e-08
camera_pos=0, 1.150000334, 5.850003242
camera_pos_4_3=0, 1.150000334, 5.850003242...

DFlayer,

That goes into a default.ini file. That holds your "wiiflow theme"

If you put the entire of MasterShoes already built theme, into a default.ini file in your themes folder, then the emuflow= value in your sourcemenu.ini can call the 'best' fit one that MasterShoes has built for us :)

Thanks failburn, I acutely worked this out shortly after posting the question. I also managed to configure the Carbonik theme so everything is running great. Thanks also to MasterShoes and everyone else who has contributed to this.

-Update 06-27-12: Updated the "How to Use Full Covers With WiiFlow-Mod" section, and the "announcement" section.

* *Updated Important Announcement * *

-There's a lot of tweaking going on to these sets right now. They are all getting prepped for upload to gametdb.com. A lot of work has been done, and covers added since these current uploads. I will eventually update all these links, but as everything is constantly changing right now, i feel it best to hold off. I will also continue to support Deakphreak and http://SpiffyCovers.com to host retro covers. I will be sending him all the updated files as well, as soon as I get a few more sets completed. As far as I know, spiffycovers will serve as a download back-up to gametdb, which will be nice. It will also (like gametdb) be a place where you can download single as well as multiple covers, if you don't want to download the entire set.

How to Use Full Covers With WiiFlow-Mod:

-You must be using one of the more current "Wiiflow-Mod" Beta Releases.. One that supports "emuflow".
-Rename the covers exactly to match your rom names, i've included links to some handy re-naming utilities at the beginning of this post. Wait, your not done yet... you MUST ALSO INCLUDE THE ROM EXTENSION IN THE IMAGE NAME!! For example, if you're renaming your Nintendo 64 roms, they could be in a format of .n64, .v64, or .z64. These extensions MUST be include in the image filename! For Example - Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3.z64(.png). Adding these extensions in bulk is EFFORTLESS with bulk rename utility. Open up explorer to view your filetypes, and add them all on as a "suffix". If you have multiple types of rom extensions for one emulator, just open up your folder containing the roms in Explorer, switch the view mode to "detail" and then select "type". That will seperate all your roms by there extension, and make it easier for you to group re-name.
-Put the fully Re-named covers into your wiiflow/boxcovers folder (or your custom folder setup in the .ini file - see the following example.) In this case the covers would go into "wiiflow/boxcovers/fceugx", and roms would go into "fceugx/roms".

[PLUGIN]

magic=46434555
coverColor=ff0000
coverFolder=fceugx
fileTypes=.nes|.fds|.nsf|.unf|.nez|.unif|.zip|.7z
romDir=fceugx/roms
dolFile=fceugx-mod9.dol
bannerSound=nes.ogg
displayname=FCEUltraGX
ReturnLoader=yes
consoleCoverID=nintendo

-If you want to split up your emulator roms for vbagx, genplusgx, or mednafen... check it out:
-You still only need the one .dol
-You will need an .ini file for each "seperate" system. (I.E. - GB/GBC/GBA... GEN/SMS/GG/SG1000... etc.)
-You will need to create a new magic number, with a value of at least "+10" of any other magic number... See the following example, Magic numbers in red.
-Also, only required for seperating gameboy games... roms must be in seperate folders, and the .ini must point there! Reason bieng that ".gb" will also be recognized by ".gbc" and ".gba". This conflict doesn't happen with genplus-gx or wiimednafen :). See the folder's seperated in Blue in the example.

[PLUGIN]
magic=56424158
coverColor=fcff00
coverFolder=GB
fileTypes=.gb
romDir=vbagx/roms/GB
dolFile=vbagx-mod9.dol
bannerSound=gba.ogg
displayname=Gameboy Classic
ReturnLoader=yes
consoleCoverID=nintendo

[PLUGIN]
magic=56424168
coverColor=fcff00
coverFolder=GBC
fileTypes=.gb|.sgb
romDir=vbagx/roms/GBC
dolFile=vbagx-mod9.dol
bannerSound=gba.ogg
displayname=Gameboy Color
ReturnLoader=yes
consoleCoverID=nintendo

[PLUGIN]
magic=56424178
coverColor=fcff00
coverFolder=GBA
fileTypes=.gba
romDir=vbagx/roms/GBA
dolFile=vbagx-mod9.dol
bannerSound=gba.ogg
displayname=Gameboy Advance
ReturnLoader=yes
consoleCoverID=nintendo

How to incorporate seperated emulators into your source_menu:

-Setup you're button's...
-Make sure your "buttons" name are the same as the .png's in your source_menu folder (In Blue).... "image_s" is the image that appears when "hovered"over.
-Make sure your "magic #'s" match between your "emulator.ini" file and "source_menu.ini" file.

[BUTTON_8]
image=GB.png
image_s=GBb.png
source=plugin
magic=56424158
emuflow=6

[BUTTON_9]
image=GBC.png
image_s=GBCb.png
source=plugin
magic=56424168
emuflow=6

[BUTTON_10]
image=GBA.png
image_s=GBAb.png
source=plugin
magic=56424178
emuflow=6

I will update this info when it's not 3am!

Thanks, mastershoes!
One question. Once everything is uploaded to gametdb, what will be the naming convention?
Will wiiflow look at the CRC of your roms and match them to the covers in the database for download, or will your roms have to be renamed to follow a certain convention?

Yes, in most cases, it will be the CRC, some will even be identified by GAMEID.
