Hacking Corrupted saves on R4i SDHC Upgrade Revolution

I'm using a R4i SDHC Upgrade Revolution v1.4 cart (www.r4-v.com) with a 8Gb SDHC card on a original NDS with the original firmware and while I can run most games properly, I'm having weird problems with my saves.

With some games, the saves get corrupted as soon as I power off but with other games the saves are fine for about a day. The weird thing is that the .sav files are still on the card but the games don't recognize them at all.

Is the problem from the SD card or the firmware I'm using? And would switching to YSMenu have any effect on this issue (can I even use YSMenu with that cart?)

I'm a complete newbie regarding these things and help would be very appreciated.

Normally, I'd say it's most likely your MicroSD going bad...

But in this case, I'm putting my money on the R4i SDHC Upgrade Revolution, a.k.a. Clony McFakeClone.
