Hacking Constant freezing on 3DS

Like the title says. It only happens in Professor Layton and the Last Specter (usually when I'm about to save) and only on the 3DS. I've never had a contact issue, I've tried the paper trick, I've formatted the SD card repeatedly. Nothing has worked. Can anyone help?

Freezing? I believe it's an AP measure. My JP SoulSilver has the same issue.

EDIT: Only on 3DS eh?? What other consoles did you try?

DS Phat, DS lite, US DSi, Aus DSi, US 3DS (I don't actually own all those consoles, most of them are friends')

It's the patched version so it shouldn't be AP.

Have you tried the clean ROM? Have you tried running your ROM in Clean mode?
