well i asked him why the newest dpgenc wont encode my videos and why moonshell wont play my videos and this is the the reply he sent back....
Hello fgghjjkll.

MoonShell2 deleted a useless function.
It has been optimized to RGB24 highly. (By the assembler.)
The decipherment of past RGB15/RGB18/RGB21 is impossible.
Because it specialized in the MP3 decoder, the decipherment of the OGG audio
stream is impossible.
I am sorry for cannot be useful.

Moonlight...
??? wuts he talking about???

He's talking about your encoder settings. Can't tell if he dropped the .ogg or mp3 sound though. I'd bet he dropped the .ogg sound format though. He's saying that unless you use RGB24, the video's won't play on Moonshell 2 (I think).

uhh....can you speak in proper, not-nerdy english?
can you upload ur dpgenc.ini file?

It's called proper english. I'm referring to things by their proper names. If you can't understand what I'm talking about, maybe you should do a little research first.

And no, I don't use DPGEnc. I use BatchDPG.

Ive got the beta of Moonshell2, and the encoder SUPER encodes them correctly. Unless theres another version after the first beta im not aware of

I assume he missunderstood your question and thought you were asking why your old DPG doesn't work anymore, because he told you basically what support he dropped (OGG and any colorspace besides RGB24).

RGB24 was the default colorspace for most DPG encoders anyways (most important, BatchDPG), so it shouldn't pose much trouble. The MP3 optimization bit is interesting, would be nice if VBR presets are properly supported.

Here's some solutions.

1) Google the terms you don't understand. Come back and try deciphering the already simple explanation given by my fellow tempers here.
2) Use other video converters like SUPER converter. Google it.
3) Don't bother about converting your videos.

Have a nice day.
