. i can't wait for the patch man.

I think the script you posted is on "View only". I can't edit it.

I also edited some of the character database descriptions, spreading out the words to fit the remaining open spaces and I added Darlton's second description, which I guess I missed last night.

Thanks again choji!
Youre ware right the script was set on "view" but i changed it now.

I will post screenshots soon.

I finished most of ev001_500.bin (script file 1). Missing a few lines cause I don't quite understand it but I'll try to figure it out sometime tomorrow.

*EDIT*
finished ev001_500.bin but not too sure about lines 56+57.

Thanks choji.
I added some screenshots to the first post. Sry for the low quality but i will add better ones after more traslation is done.

is there some kind of auto line break in this??? because from what I see, some of these texts are skipped to the next line in unnecessary areas. But you are doing very well, though

Thanks i try my best

Yes there is somthing wrong with the line breaks because of limited space. I'm still trying to fix this.

why, what is the reason behind this? are pointers pointing to each of the separate lines? or did you make sure you changed the number of characters thingy that the script file uses?

Well I haven't looked into this rom too much, but I think I remember Soma Bringer's auto line break was fixed when the font was changed???? (don't remember correctly)

In the file the textes start with a 62 and end with a 00, each line is own string. I can change that but it will mess a pointers from different files wich point in the file i changed.
Because of that the game frezzes when playing the second story.

wait, all of the script shares the same pointer table???
if that's so, then all you can do is to actually "test" after you are done with translating the WHOLE game.
Yup, but thats only if I mess with the file lenght or number of strings in the file.
I just had an amazing idea, but I need to test it first but i think if it works i will have better line breaks.

I uploaded a new script file, it covers the explanations of the first Battle.
The first Chapter of this game seams really short and is more like a tutorial. When i completed the first Chapter, I will release a patch which would be about 50MB big, because i messed with the original file lenght of the Script files.
I'll look if i can change that but I'm not sure yet

Maybe i'll post better quality pictures that show a bit more than the old ones.

Use xdelta and it won't take up so much space.

Thanks DarthNemesis!
Now it's a lot smaller and only 130KB. By te way have you figured out about my request because i can't understad how pointers to other files work, so for now i can only stick to my method which s really time consuming.

Working on it, but the script format is really ugly.

Okay I finished bev01_15.bin (script file tutorial). Don't remove it though, I'm going to go over it later to see if I can make it all flow together or see if anything needs to be rephrased.

*EDIT*

you can remove the script if you want, I finished going over the script and everything sounds fine with me except a few lines (22-24).

Also post as many scripts as you can so i can get started on them because I might not visit this site much anymore so I'd like to help you out as much as I can before then.

Good luck on the project and can't wait for the first patch.
