This was in an email I just got form Club Nintendo:

Dear Club Nintendo Member,

Thank you again for being an Elite Status Club Nintendo member this past year.
As you may have noticed, we misspelled one of the months on the Year-view Calendar insert, included alongside your 2012 Club Nintendo Calendar Elite Status gift. (It's the month between October and December.)

We're really embarrassed and apologize for this oversight; we always want our rewards and gifts to be special. We would like to offer you a replacement Year-view Calendar insert. In the interest of saving paper, we thought it better to ask if you want a replacement before automatically sending. Please confirm by January 9th if you would like a replacement and we'll happily send you a new Year-view Calendar insert.

Thanks again for being a member of Club Nintendo.
We appreciate your continued feedback and loyalty.

Happy New Year!
Club Nintendo

The part that says "confirm by January 9th" is a hotlink, and when clicked lets you opt in or out.

The reason for this: they spelled November, "Nobember".
No kidding. XD

I wonder if that paper is green by any chance. :P
Lol, this whole story is classic Nintendo.

Retort: No other game console maker gives free stuff for buying their games.

Now, please, Keep the fanboy crap out of this thread.

On topic: I opted out, just fyi. I don't care about the typo, it's not a big deal at all, and not even on the main calender cards.

Collector's item, you lucky dog. :P
Platinum prize is definitely a punishment this year, oh well. :)

@ Xuphor
no hard feelings toward Nintendo, I still love them. :)
(I tease them all the time but I still go out of my way to defend them as well)

I dunno if they still do, but Sony used to give free stuff for being signed up to one of their network things v:
I had to unsubscribe when we moved country so I dunno if they still do it.

Also:
(It's the month between October and December.)

Hehe got that card. Gonna save it and proclaim it's a collectors item in a few years. ;)

Since most people will most likely not bother with the replacement it will most likely be more of a collectors item since it will be rarer.

OP: Thanks for the news post cause I had to retrieve my email from the trash. If you waited a few more days I would have lost out.

OT: To me this makes Nintendo look great, they made a small unimportant error but noticed it and are willing to take the steps to fix it. How many companies would waste the resources on correcting something so small when it involves something they gave away for free.

Nintendo has been doing nothing but impressing me. I think I might have fallen in love with them all over again.

One little mistake, and they ask you if you want a replacement instead of forcing it upon you.
