Hi!
I have an (older) RCMloader and a first gen Switch, which is modded with SX OS.
Now, I'd like to keep SX for the occasional USB loading but would also like to use Atmosphere.

I've read many tutorials and they're all about fully migrating from one to the other, not really dual booting.
Is there any way to dual boot both of them using the current SX emunand?
If so, how?

Thanks!

If your emunand version is compatible with SX, then of course. It’s just MUCH easier if your emuMMC is partition-based. For file-based, you’d have to move and rename your nand dump files every time you want to switch between the two...

@Hayato213 technically, it CAN boot file-based, because an eMMC dump is an eMMC dump. They are just named differently and in a different folder. Move/rename it, and it works just fine. Not practical or portable though...

hekate-made hidden partition is indeed a problem with SX though.

are you using haxchi, tiramisu or aroma?
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    yeah
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
no, I'm asking which one of them you are using
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    aroma
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
in that case, there is no such thing as homebrew launcher for aroma
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
you have to launch your homebrews directly from the wii u menu
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
there is a plugin that display them on the wii u menu, pretty sure it is enabled by default
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    so like it doesnt exist
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    yeah
    ?
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
it doesn't exist, at least not for aroma
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    ohhhhh
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
on tiramisu you can access it by opening mii maker
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    okay
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    nope
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    it is L+dpad down+ select
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
but homebrew is appearing in the home menu btw
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
    yes, now I remember it
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
then it is working, I also don't like that they did this but it is the only option you have if you are using aroma
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
