Well I really hate the DSTT default skin, and I saw some nice ones in the download section but I'm not exactly a big FF4 (though I love FF) or Chrono Cross fan.

Could somebody maybe make a Vista skin? Or a FF12 skin?

That would be great

Thank you

There are some good skins out other than those listed in the DL section, just search around this topic...

WinXP skin
http://gbatemp.net/index.php?act=ST&f=169&t=70942

There is also a Mac OS skin somewhere, and a nice NDS skin (that looks like the NDS OS)

I refuse to create a Vista skin, but nothing should stop you from making it and posting one... (Use the skin maker posted at the top of this forum.)

A FFXII DS themed skin is next on my list. Didn't do it first because I've yet to play the game. ~.~ From my understanding, it's a TBS game, and those really aren't my cup o' tea. Do you have any particular image you'd like to see as the top screen background?

I think it's fantabulous, good sir! I'm using it right now!

Although I wouldn't mind someone making some sort of technological skin.

Thanks for the compliments! I don't have a DSTT to test them with yet, so I'm depending on you guys to let me know if there's anything on those skins that need to be fixed/tweaked.

Hey, what can I say? I was inspired when I made this one. I actually kinda like it more than my first (FFIVDS) skin, because it's so much more colorful. XD Not getting any inspiration for a "technological" type skin, though. I'm afraid you're on your own or at the mercy of other submitters on that one. I'm with Nullkill on refusing to create a vista type skin - just ain't gonna do it.

I have no idea why TTMenu Skin Editor cuts off the bottom of my skin like that...might have something to do with my non-standard WinXP theme, I think. Wish that program would let you resize the window.

Yeah, the more I look at it, the better I like that theme compared to my FFIVDS theme. It's just more colorful. When my DSTT shows up, I'll probably use that theme with the BgUp.bmp file from the FFIVDS set.

The next theme I plan to do is a CTRL+ALT+DEL theme with multiple options for BgUp.bmp. That one's gonna take me a while, tho, so no breath holding.

The skin customizer isn't used for that. It'll let you change out the backgrounds, but that's it for image changing. What I use it for is changing the font colors, the highlight colors, and previewing the skin-in-progress. All of my backgrounds, buttons, and icons are created or edited in Adobe Photoshop.

If you have more suggestions for skin motifs, I'm always looking for inspiration.

Good job! My only critique would be to invert the text color when it's selected. Your bottom screen highlight color is white, so black text would be more legible and stand out more from the non-highlighted text.

It's an aesthetics thing. ~.~ I've got some salt if you need a grain to take my critique with.

@SylverReZ, I also heard one of the Prince of Persia games was so unfinished that it required the "24/7 online" drm so a puzzle could be done and the game could be finished. And that when the Ubisoft servers were closed the (cracked) game was impossible to finish or something like that
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, That's extra scummy. Ubisoft nowadays ship out incomplete games like Skull and Bones which was being worked on for nearly a decade now.
