so we can all see if it bricks your system, or if pulling the plug at 15% works, etc. etc.

I know im not doing whatever update is on the disc until someone on the Temp, a hero amongst men to be certain, first tests it out.

SPOILER:
Other games are not this game. Your points are based on nothing and so you still have no fucking idea what protections if any will be on the game.

I did look into some things. According to the Wiki, there have been 128 JPN releases.

88 Have been tested to work (Green)
31 haven't been tested (Grey)
6 tested and don't work (Red)
3 tested to have some problems but other than graphical errors, they work. (Blue)

If you were to assume that of those not tested, they wouldn't work, then 68.9% of NTSC-J releases are NTSC-U/C compatible. If you were to assume that of those not tested, they would all work, then about 93% of NTSC-J releases are NTSC-U/C compatible. If you add the three games that have some graphical errors but otherwise playable, then it would be 95.3%. Also, you could debate whether Japan SMG would work or not. If you don't mind a semi bricked Wii, then the game worked. I'm just really bored.

It's tough to guess if the Japanese release will work or not... sure MOST Japanese games work on U.S. modded Wii's... but of course SMG was an example of Nintendo putting a bit more work into preventing it.

We're just going to have to wait and see!

You just claimed you got the demo and can play it..
so either thats a lie, or the game should work on NTSC-U (like the demo)
i stick with the lieing part...

Thor from "Pirate Software" said its just better to pirate the game than buy from a keyshop if you care about the devs

devs don't get hit with the chargebacks, the keys are free to generate

Except he said the DEVS get hits with the chargeback cost

since the key gets bought with a stolen credit card
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
there's nothing to charge back because the keys don't cost them money to generate in the first place
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
If the game has a crack sure
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Most these crack sites have dead links anymore or the crack don't even work
  • linuxares @ linuxares:
@The Real Jdbye What don't you get? If someone use a stolen creditcard. Then sell said key on G2A. If I the dev sold the game key, I will get the charge back cost. That's how it works, it doesn't matter if I generate 300 keys if 300 of them are bought with stolen credit cards. I never said it was on Steam, but its the dev that gets hit. There is a ton of stories out there if you google it.
