Hacking Bootmii isn’t letting me restore a NAND backup.

So l am still fairly new to Wii modding, but when I got Bootmii for the first time a while back, it could only be an IOS. I am getting a Wii U soon and I heard if you have a Wii backup you can restore it to get your stuff back after transferring. But Bootmii is saying restoring is too dangerous, and apparently I need Bootmii as a boot2, but I couldn't do that. How can I fix this?

And if I have to specify, I have the RVL-001 model.

No. Its not possible to change boot2v4 to boot2 as far as I am aware.

On oldest Wii there is a signing bug within boot1 allowing modified boot2. You can't change boot2 on newer Wii (unless using another signed version like the leaked SD boot)

BootMii will in fact restore backups without being present in boot2. If this goes wrong, the Wii is done for. This is why it demands entering the code before starting the restore process.
Never try to restore a backup from a different console
