Hardware Best Guitars and other instruments for GH5

I am thinking about taking the plunge and finally getting GH/RB game and seems like GH5 is a good place to start, but I have only seen it available has an individual game. Can someone recommend a set of instruments that will work with it (I heard that RB instruments don't work with GH) that are of reasonable price and quality.

The RB instruments work with GH5, but none of the prior GH games. The GH-Branded guitars works with all the games with the exception of the RB1 and first 2 track packs. GH Drums works with RB2. Nyko Frontman guitar works with RB2, and GH3/A/WT/SM/M but not GH5.

Ok so I am thinking the RB2 instrument set that is at bestbuy for $99.99 since I heard the RB2 drums were meant to be pretty good. I'm not really worried about previous GH games since the GH5 will allow importing tracks from some older games. Thanks for the help so far.
