HI guys, First a little background. I have been fiddling with mds for as long as they have been available.
I own an EZ flash V + ezflash 3+1 (2 gigadata micro sd, M3 DS simply 1gig kingston micro sd, I also have a G6 cart which I use with a Passcard. I also have a (micro sd)super card lite(1 gig kingston micro sd), and a EZ flash IV with a 1 gig sandisk micro flash.
OK enough of that I have tried all of these Really I have just moved along as the technology has moved along.
To be frank I really like the G6 with a pass card solution. It really served me very well, I often keep the G6 in the slot so I can access the files on it at will.
Recently after using the M3 DS simply for a month or two, I decided to see if there was anything better on the market. Don't get me wrong the M3 solution is really good but being on the Internet reading about what others are doing with their DS I was lured into trying the EZ Flash V, I had very good results with the ez Flash IV in fact IMHO the EZ flash range of products are about as well made as this stuff gets.
Anyway after fooling around with the Moonshell interface. You know what I am not a huge fan of moon shell, It is fine for playing music but as a user interface it leaves a lot to be desired. EZ flash V has great hardware, I prefer the non spring side loading flash card slot, there is no way I can loose the card with the EZ flash V this is not true with the R4 or the M3 simply.
I will get to the point. After a couple weeks of the ezflash V I have gone back to the M3 Simply, stitch a 2 gig card into the M3 and you have the ability to save a lot of files and manage them with ease, The only issue I have with the M3 simply is the ease at which I can loose the micro flash card.
I will use the EZ flash loaded up with less played games. But I have switched back to my M3 Simply Now with a 2 gig card all I can say is WOW.
BTW the ez 3 in one is cool if you want a backward way of loading one GBA game and having to UNLOAD it before playing another, all of this is done in mood shell...silly, The rumble is cool...the memory for opera is cool. it is well made...no Real time clock.
BTW the ezflash has no easy cheat system.
I don't now about you but I am waiting for the Neoflash MK VI for their cool motion/gyro control.
If you are looking at this stuff take it from a guy who has spent a fortune on this stuff.
Go out and get a M3 simply or an R4 card. then go to a place like super media store and get a 2 gigadata micro flash card for under $25.00.
and have fun with the super easy fully skinnable M3 ds Simply.
Sorry to rave on a bit I just felt like sharing my experience hopeful some of you will be able to avoid the pitfalls of the DS underworld.
