Homebrew Basic Screen or booklike?

What would you preffer for a RPG?
The usual style or like book held like in brain age/hotel dusk etc.. ?

Depends on how the screens are used.

Sigma Harmonics (US release WHEN GOD DAMN IT) worked excellent in book-form, while a game like TWEWY only works horizontally.
I like book-form a wee bit more, because it frees up more space to display humans with realistic proportions; FF4 did this horizontally, but that's a bit of an eye-strainer.

The regular screen. It feels more comfortable and natural imo.

For a regular RPG, the basic way is better. Book-like depends on what the game is about and how it plays I guess :/
