Hacking Attempting to install legit CIA's onto a 9.0 New 3DS XL

There's too much information regarding this. Here's what I'm attempting to do someone tell me if there's an easier way.

I am creating a backup of the sysnand in case anything goes wrong using the Gateway launcher

I am formatting emunand

Running dev menu to install cia's

Backing up emunand

Flashing emunand nand.bin to sysnand using gateway by going to downgrade and holding up and continuing

(if it dies for whatever reason I have the capability to install a hard mod on this specific unit)

Does this pretty much sum it up?

Do you have cubic ninja or are you using oot? If you have cubic ninja you can use FBI to directly install the legit cias from sysnand.

All you have to do is launch ninjahax from cubic ninja and then you can run FBI.

Ah. I kept reading that the installers wouldn't work without patches. Thanks man I really appreciate the help!
