I just finished Mass Effect. I played the shit out of it. Every side mission assignment, searched every planet, surveyed minerals, Prothean data discs, everything. Because I didn't want it to end. So I squuuuuueeeeezed every last drop of juice out of it.

Now I'm wondering, is there any other games like it? Mainly, I'd like to play other games where you can select your own dialogue from multiple choices and change the direction of conversations, be a jerk, be a nice guy, whatever the situation calls for. Is there other games, RPGs mainly I'd imagine, that have this?

Knights of the Old Republic 1 & 2 in the original XB would really be the most similar thing, not as advanced but remember Mass Effect was based on those.
Then again, those were based on RPG games of yore, maybe you would love Baldur''s Gate or Icewind on PC

Jade Empire as well. Also a Bioware developed masterpiece.

ones to add to the great other bioware games...
Fable 1 (available through xbox originals on the marketplace)... Fable 2 comes in late 2008. Fable 1 had great character development and story line, but overall game is a bit short (max 15-20hrs if you play all side missions, avg 10-12 if you play only main storyline).

Nice, thanks for all the suggestions!
I will have to check into the 360 compatibility of these and see which ones I can get.

Fable was not developed by Bioware.

  • NinStar @ NinStar:
are you using haxchi, tiramisu or aroma?
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    yeah
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
no, I'm asking which one of them you are using
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    aroma
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
in that case, there is no such thing as homebrew launcher for aroma
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
you have to launch your homebrews directly from the wii u menu
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
there is a plugin that display them on the wii u menu, pretty sure it is enabled by default
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    so like it doesnt exist
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    yeah
    ?
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
it doesn't exist, at least not for aroma
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    ohhhhh
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
on tiramisu you can access it by opening mii maker
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    okay
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    nope
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    it is L+dpad down+ select
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
but homebrew is appearing in the home menu btw
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
    yes, now I remember it
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
then it is working, I also don't like that they did this but it is the only option you have if you are using aroma
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
i just didint know the homebrew launcher didint exist in aroma
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
