Hi All,

Anyone know of a way to access the contents of SD card without removing from Switch. Would be cool if there was a way so you dont have to power down the switch completely to remove the microSD and losing homebrew. Its a pain to go through the process everytime one needs to change anything on the SD card.

if you have linux on the switch I would assume you can access the card from there

Use homebrew ftp.
Have installed homebrew menu already. But when you say homebrew, is there any applications that will allow for that?

This I would explore i guess. I hope there is a way.

FTPD is a homebrew port of the FTP application for the 3DS. Works pretty well on the Switch. https://github.com/WinterMute/ftpd/releases/tag/v2.2.0-e627691c-switch

Memloader is another way that mounts your Switch's eMMC onto your computer so you can access the SD card that way without removing it but you will need to dump your bis keys beforehand (as well as recommended to make a backup in case the computer modifies the eMMC irreversibly): https://switchtools.sshnuke.net/

Thanks for all the help. But as far as my research and understanding goes, FTPD is only one way from PC to switch? Or was this updated?
Any solutions for transfers both ways?

and on PC side, install freeware Filezilla and put the IP you got from switch, the read&write speed is far slower than a card reeader

I'd use memloader with ums_sd.ini, it should be much faster than FTP and you don't need a client on the PC side.
But don't touch the other .ini files, I've heard of people bricking their Switch that way. As long as you only mount the SD it's safe.

I would recommend not using those versions of FTPd, they have known issues.
This build works great though!

Thanks everyone. I will look into these.
