Any sure way to remove sd card reader without risking it pulling connector's legs?

Hi

So the SD card reader on V1s have a tendency of pulling the connector's legs causing Switch to use 1bit mode (5MB/s write and read). Any way to safely remove the reader? It's happened to me before on 1/3 switches. I plan to install RCM x86 on my V1s.
