Did you try deleting your old save? If that doesn't work maybe try backing up and reformatting your micro sd card?

Well, im not so good with the back-up system.
I can try to delete the old save.

I checked multi patcher 1.20, but the fix was the same as previous one: just to bypass initial setup, not saving
It isn't working on DSTT nor M3

what back-up system?

you just copy the sd card to a computer while you format the sd card, then move the files back.

Holy crap that's awesome!
It's great how you still care for wood.

How do you figured out the stuff with the fragmented rom loading? If I remember correctly, you said something like you would need a fairly bit of assembler knowledge to fix that or am I wrong?

Thank you Gaboros for continuing the work on this alternative firmwares.

I have a issue with this version of wood m3, when i change the user Interface Style (theme) it ask me to restart and then it freeze on loading. softreset doesn't work for me either, it gives me two white screens.

When i go to help is says the version is 1.22, and not 1.25

My Card is the M3DS Real

Hi Gaboros and thank you for sharing your hard work with us!!
grog.gif

I have to report you that your current version (1.25c) of Wood r4 for M3 is still affected by previous version bugs: white screens on soft-reset and freeze on loading after theme change. Good work and have a nice day

ps: Sorry for my bad english!!

Retro surprised us with an update. That is good, isn't it? But I have a surprise, too. A Wood update! No, it is not an higher version Wood, it is still at 1.25.

Here we go:

http://filetrip.net/f25102-Wood-R4-for-M3-1-25b.html

But why is it good for me if it only at 1.25?

- allow fragmented roms to load

And we saw the light at the end of the tunnel.
Great gaboros, thanks.

Hello!

I'm sure about it is working. You have to have the wood_r4_m3.nds on your root of you SD card with this name. If the files is not there or don't have this name it can't reset because it is looking for this file in this position. Try again, it must work.

Sorry Gaboros but still not working for me...
I've tryed to format the microSD (Kingston 4GB) with panasonic sd formatter 2.0 and downloaded again the pak from Filetrip, wood_r4_m3.nds is on the root of the sd (like already was in my previus post), no other files or themes are added, only a folder called NDS with my roms on the root.

edit:
I'm trying on a ds lite

edit2:
Strange:
I'have manually launched wood_r4_m3.nds and the reset on theme change is working after reboot, but if i try after a power off it freeze like before

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

  • cearp @ cearp:
@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space
