I'm new at this so please bear with me and thank you in advance for your time.

About 5 years ago I got a used fat PS3. It came installed with Rogero manager 8.2, Multiman and Gaia manager. I wasn't told anything about this being cfw, or anything else about how to manage it. I quickly found out I could use multiman to play the couple games that were on the system, but I wasn't much interested in them and instead opted to play legitimate copies of games instead. Now I'm not exactly sure how it happened but at some point the Multiman stopped working. I assume that one of the games I played updated the firmware as it is now at 4.41, the console was never connected to the internet as far as I can remember. I didn't care much and stopped playing a short while after anyway.

About 5 years have passed now and after just hacking my 3DS I got interested in doing the same for my PS3. This is where I found it that it had actually been hacked all along, but that I've likely screwed it up meanwhile. Here come my main question is if there's any way to resolve this. Most guides state that PS3s after 3.5 are screwed, but I've been seeing a lot of talk about this new 4.82 exploit. Would it work to update my PS3 to 4.82 over the internet and then follow the exploit steps? If yes, should I delete the Rogero manager, Gaia manager and Multiman I currently have before doing this? Additionally I've also read about downgrading your PS3 firmware, but is this a viable option given that the PS3 has been hacked before? Is there anything else I'm missing and any additional advice you can give me?

Thanks again for your help, and feel free to ask for any information that you might need.

in that case, there is no such thing as homebrew launcher for aroma

you have to launch your homebrews directly from the wii u menu

I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
