Windows tends to act like this. First enter adress bar of current folder and type 'cmd' and you'll see command line. Punch in '4nxci.exe' to get further inscructions, without autoclosing anything.
am sorry but when am using cmd it just say
4NXCI by The-4n
Usage: 4nxci <file>

It seems like a lot of you don't realize that when you're downloading from the CDN using CDNSP it actually downloads .nca files... that's the files that the Nintendo server gives.
The script is just packing them into NSP using the NCA files.
XCI is basically like NSP in the sense that there are a bunch of .nca files held within it as well.
You take the NCA and pack them into NSP or use the installers that allow NCA installation.
for XCI it has a different key and this program is.. I haven't looked at it, but I'm assuming generating a custom cmnt/tik or patching out the encryption to make it work.

Is it actually possible to reverse this and convert .nsp files to .xci?

Why would anybody want this? Because .xci can be split.

NSPs can be run for free on Atmos/Hekate and ReiNX. XCI can't for now.
That's all the reason you need, until free cfws can run .xci

What would you even need splitting for? You can run exfat.
Because homebrew is prone to corrupting the SD card when using exFAT due to its lack of file jounaling support. That's why RetroNX heavily recommends against it and lakka basically doesn't support it.

Oh, only the coder can fix that in newer versions of the tool. I'll have to suggest you to simply wait. Otherwise, you armed to use the app.

I have the same problem, posted earlier today that I had all the keys correctly placed, no error's but it's spitting out NCA files

Hopefully the creator can fix this soon™

Noted differences at first glance.
Example: Retro City Rampage DX [0100F17004156000].xci | keys.dat
4nxci.exe 0100F17004156000.xci (simple names for no problems.)

and then the generated ticket is the same per usual except with 00 instead of 01 for 02A000.
certs are exactly the same.
cnmt generates just as cdnsp would with 0 as required versions.

I suppose for anyone having trouble installing to use the ticket patched as 01 instead of 00? idk.

Make a text file called 4nxci.txt and put this inside:
4nxci.exe 0000000000000000.xci
pause
and then rename the file from .txt to .bat (for Windows anyway.)
Make sure you have your keys.dat file in place. It's the same used for CDNSP, etc.

I'm pretty sure both lack journaling. NTFS is the one with journaling. So, that excuse is moot.
exFAT is pretty much FAT32 with larger file support.

I dont know if im outdated, but, how does the Emunand is going to prevent or safe you from a BAN? O:
All saves and data associated with games are stored on your switch and sent to nintendo when playing online, using eShop, etc.
An emuNAND would be a different storage this data is written to and if you never connect online with that one, no data should tell nintendo that you use a softmod to do whatever you like.

People talking about getting banned when they're running CFW and/or installing games. Of course you'll be banned, just come to terms with never taking your Switch online again. If you want to, then clear Error Logs, flash your NAND backup you would have made before doing any of this, clear Error logs again, and I believe you would be golden. Just use legit games, and if you want to run homebrew again, just go offline again until you want to repeat the above process.
Also thank you so much to whoever wrote this tool, it made my morning to see it :) Been needing to do with with a few XCI's I own

Does this have any requirements, because it immedietely closes for me, both on trying to start, and with dragging an XCI onto it.

Wait, are these the Switch private keys we need to put into the Key.dat?

Or the keydump from Pastebin?

they need to have a strong line up on the launch titles too. I think they should move metroid prime 4 to the next console because by now it has been quite a while and there's no release date scheduled yet

well as far as metroid prime 4 is concerned, the next system probably is similar enough to the current gen they can probably easily just slap it onto a next gen cart and call it good :P
