Seriously though, unless you have a nand backup from 9.0 you can't go back down to it.

Ok. might be a stupid question but how would I get a backup of 9.2 To downgrade. or is it better to just buy the sky 3DS

What ? Wasn't the update released on 24th ? It's been a week and Gateway is fully functional (even Xenoblade Chronicles), except for e-shop.

Unless you have a backup of a nand 9.2 or less FROM YOUR CONSOLE. You cannot downgrade, if you did have one you would still need a hardware mod to do it.

Your options are to sell it and buy and exploitable one or a sky.

A Dark Side option and riskier option is to buy and exploitable model the same as yours and switch motherboards. They are all the same on the inside.

Ok so I would return my gateway sense I'm on 9.6 and buy a sky3ds card And it will work with old games and 3ds games. Just want to make sure.. or wait until gateway updates there card to work with 9.6...

Sell the 3ds and get a gateway compatible one.

Also Xenoblade doesn't work on sky3ds and might not ever work.

Sky3ds works on newest firmware but is by far the inferior of the two cards.

I don't think Sky3DS is unblockable, but maybe just, harder to block? Sky3DS does replicate a 3DS cartridge, right? There obviously will be differences between the Sky3DS cart, and the normal Nintendo cart, so if they were able to detect what kind of hardware is in a cartridge, and if it contains "unusual" hardware, then the cart wouldn't be usable.
I don't know if it's possible to do that on the O3DS or N3DS, though, and it's probably not if Sky isn't blocked yet.
Or it might be, I'm not sure. I actually have very little knowledge on how the O3DS and N3DS work.

You can test for yourself if sky is blockable...

Boot gateway's launcher, run diagnostics on a real cart. Now take the real cart out and put in a sky, run diagnostics again.

I don't own a Sky or a Gateway............ yet.

The result is that sky passes tests retail carts don't. So Nintendo can simply run tests similar to those in gateway's diagnostics if they want to detect sky.

You can test for yourself if sky is blockable...

Make sure you don't have any saved game you care about on the real cart, because running the diagnostics will probably wipe it.

It is highly unlikely you can return a Gateway unless it is defective. You didn't buy it at Walmart.
