Hello all, just a quicky, so I've a9lh my o3ds and n3ds and plan on getting a couple of 2ds's for my boys and plan on a9lh on them too but I don't know how I should treat them, either as an o3ds or n3ds while doing the Plailect process?

2DS is the same as a Old 3DS. When doing the A9LH guide and your on FW 2.1 just be sure to NEVER system format the console or you'll softbrick it.

I installed a (probably) corrupt theme, and now my 3ds only shows a black screen. What can I do to fix this?
Delete extdata? I have a9lh, btw.

Put the .bin file in luma/payload folder (create the payload folder if it doesn't exist), rename with a button you want like:

start_Decrypt.bin

Put SD card in your 3ds, hold start and turn on your 3DS, you shoud boot in Decrypt9.

Hi all,

I have a quick question, I'm about to upgrade an O3DS from rxtools to A9LH but I will be starting all over as it has CTR boot and menuhax. I followed the guide to update from rxTools to Luma and I can boot from Luma now. I'm getting confused with all those, so I thought a fresh install would be better to get used to the process.

Anyway, the O3DS has 9.2.0.20, so before I start, I will be making a backup of the whole SD card, current sysNAND and emuNAND.

• With the emuNAND backup I will be able to keep it as it is on A9LH once I complete? should I restore this backup as in the RedNAND tutorial? or just restore my emuNAND backup to sysNAND on Part3?

• Or is there a way to get rid of rxtools, CTRboot and Menuhax and get the A9LH installed?

PD. I would rather start over again if the first point is possible.

I have the latest release of boot ntr.
I chose ntr 3.4 everytime.
I have legit copies of my games.
And I follow the instructions in the posts of the cheats themselves.

So far, Mh4u, animal crossing new leaf and pokemon Y are not working for me. :/

I have the plugins at my sd root and the screen flashes green when loading a game.
CFW is a9lh and is at 11.1

What is the exact folder layout you have for your cheat plugins? Just give an example for one of your games.

Long time ago i didn't ask something for the 3DS OTL
So, it's a little question because i'm quite outdated. I've a a9lh done in... Mai ? Or June ? With a 10.7 firmware. And an old version of luma. I'd like to update this but in the minimal way (aka just to be able to update to the last version 11.1)

So if i'm right, i only have to :
- update my luma (via the luma updater cia i hope ?)
- update my firmware

I mean i don't have to update to the a9lh v2 (that i've seen sometimes here)

Edit : Optional question, I'd like to update my NTR because I really use it a lot... Do I need to use a Dev Luma ? There's no way atm in order to use a classic Launcher ?

I think ive somehow bricked my NEW 3ds xl..

Been playing it it normally, for the past hours,

tried to boot NTR earlier to no avail, so decided to download the filmware.bin for N3DS placed it in Luma, pasted a plugin on my sd card and now when booting, it just stays on black screen, no sound or anything..

SysNAND: 11.0E A9LH No EmuNAND, tried to boot luma config but doesn't load, im quite worried I do have NAND backup on the sd card its self, in case.. help please

EDIT: The backlights come on, just black screens :s I think its A9LH V1 but im not 100%, Luma 6.2

Try to boot SafeA9LHInstaller through a chainload and update A9LH to v2. Then try to chainload into hourglass9.

Just finished installing CFW with Phailect's guide today... quick question about SD cards.

I had to use a new (and larger) SD card as my old one was small and filled with games. Now that I'm done with the whole process, is it safe for me to copy the Nintendo 3DS folder from my old SD card to the new one in order to transfer all my eShop purchased games and existing savedata?

If this doesn't work, do I need to use a special tool to transfer the data?

How would I do so?

Add the SafeA9LHInstaller.bin to the payloads folder, rename it to "right_SafeA9LHInstaller.bin", extract the arm9.bin, arm11.bin, and SafeA9LHInstaller.dat to the root of the sd.

Boot the 3ds while holding the right button on the d-pad.

If it doesn't boot it, you either didn't extract the files right, or something has overwritten your A9LH and you will need a hardmod to recover.

Firstly the latest release of BootNTR works on 11.1 now without needing firmware.bin. So delete firmware.bin and see if that boots the system.
Updating A9LH to v2 (which you probably are already on anyway) won't fix that problem, so don't listen to @Skyshadow101
Once you get your system back up and running (which may require a NAND restore) then all you have to do is download the latest release of BootNTR for it to work properly on 11.1. Also you should make sure you have the latest version of Luma by using luma updater.

Did you read my post?
If so you should have read the part where I said:

So delete firmware.bin and see if that boots the system.

If that doesn't work then you can try using restoring a previous NAND dump to see if that helps.
