Guide https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki/Part-3-(arm9loaderhax)

I assume at this point in the guide where I have to restore my system I have A9LH? The guide recommends that I Update using the system's update. From what I read I should remain on 9.2 correct? or is there some benefit to being on 11+?

From what I can tell I have no backup of 9.2.
If you're on 9.2 now you can make a backup now (with Hourglass9 or Decrypt9). There's no advantage to staying on 9.2 though, you can launch Decrypt9 and FBI etc from homebrew on 9.2 but you don't need to because you can use .bins and installing cias (in the case of FBI). And you won't be able to play any recently released games.

I was going to update back to 9.2 since I'm on 2.1 I believe. Would you recommend I update to 9.2 make a backup then update to 11?

My main concern is if there will ever be a need to go back to 9.2 and if it will only be possible if there was a backup made.

Oh I see what you mean. There shouldn't ever be a need to go back to 9.2, and if there is you can use the CTR transfer method. If you really want a backup at 9.2 though you could update with a cartridge to 4.x, then use sysupdater, and then make a backup (have a backup at 2.1 before you start with that though)

Set your DNS in your 3DS's Internet connection to auto-obtain and try again.
I will try that next right I'm I'm doing a system restore just in case. Thanks :)

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

I just did a restore (keep a9lh) and now my o3ds doesn't boot up. If the SD card is inserted the blue light stays on but the screens remain black but if the SD Card is removed the blue light comes on then goes right back off. Any idea?

I can still access Hourglass9 and everything else.

Do you have arm9loaderhax.bin on your SD card's root?

Try replacing the arm9loaderhax.bin payload, and delete the config file from the luma folder and set the settings again and press Start to reboot. If that doesn't work try a 9.2 CTR transfer.
I'm going to give this a try hopefully this will all get worked out lol

Am I supposed to restore through Hourglass9? or Decrypt9?

It doesn't matter, they both do the same thing. Try to use Hourglass9 if you can because then you won't accidentally uninstall a9lh by failing to pick the "keep a9lh" option.

Followed the guide to a T :) Now I'm on the latest fw 11.1 and I have A9LH. Thanks for the help everyone :)

I do have a question at the end of the guide it mentions a NTR CFW,... is this useful/necessary?
Also where should I look for info about playing games with higher ram usage i.e. smash brothers?

NTR is only useful if you want to cheat (offline not online though, online will get you banned)
Luma3ds has an option to overclock all games, check out the luma wiki for more information about it.

Is there a workaround with FTBrony and accented characters like the é in Pokémon? I can't enter the save folder that JKSV made. Or is it Filezilla that is the problem?

Short and silly question:

How can I do a save update with Luma 3DS from 11.0 to 11.1? Through system settings as with Gateway?

And does Gateway works with 11.1 yet?

A little help please...

Is this some kind of bug in Save Manager? Because every time I back up Pokemon Rumble World, there are other unnecessary backups also created (one of them from my Pokemon games, and another from 7th Dragon III, even if I did not insert any retail carts in the slot).

Which specific folder must I delete so that those auto backups are disabled?

Only have simple Homebrew & no CIAs or any of them complicated hax installations...

I might suspect that buggy Menuhax might be the cause. Although I already uninstalled & deleted this buggy Menuhax, those extra unneeded backups are still created.

what save manager? svdt automatically does backups each time you run it, unless you add a file somewhere to disable it. I would suggest you switch to JKSM though.
