I got my hands on an old 3ds and installed luma3ds using Plailect's guide.

Now I want to use it to downgrade my new 3ds XL via dsiware downgrade.

Problem is, I need to purchase fieldrunners but when I try to access the fieldrunners page on eshop, I get error 007-2404 on my o3ds. How do I fix this?

Also, how do I run games that require higher firmware on my luma3ds?

I'm a bit paranoid about leaving my 2DS in sleep mode. Are there any issues I should be aware of with using A9LH in conjunction with Luma3DS (regarding sleep mode) after the guide is complete? (I used the guide previous to the current version of the guide about a month ago. I'm on ver. 11.0 currently.) This is probably a dumb question to ask, but I thought it'd be best to ask it here, if anywhere.

There is absolute no problem leaving your 2ds in sleep mode. I think you are scared of that because the new 3ds 2.1 can get bricked in sleep mode.

I did an older version of Plailect's guide back in May and now have Luma running. I can install CIAs with no problems and run most homebrew. But Decrypt 9 won't work - I'm guessing because the firmware has to be on 9.2. Since Luma's CFW is updated to 11.0, is there anything that can be done about this, or will I never be able to decrypt .3ds files?

You need to update your 3ds emunand or a9lh cfw sysnand to the latest firmware.

No one really uses Sky3DS day-to-day, it is very expensive and can only do a fraction of what CFW can do. People usually only use it for game exploits (e.g. to replace Freakyforms Deluxe, Cubic Ninja, etc).

These two things would have to be true for it to make sense to get a Sky3DS:

1. There are no hardmodders in your country, and it would cost a lot more than the Sky to post it to someone overseas (keep in mind it is still worth paying a bit more, if it cost more, to get it hardmodded, since you can do so much more with CFW. But at some point it becomes too much)
   
2. You can't buy a second console, because either: (a) You don't have enough liquid assets to be able to buy a console on a lower firmware, hack it, and sell one of them (either the 11.0 console or the one you bought after doing a DSiWare downgrade) or (b) you live somewhere where eBay sellers will not post to, there are no game shops in your area, and none of your friends have a suitable console to borrow.

Or, you need a number of exploit games for your projects and getting a Sky is cheaper than them all combined.

Troubleshooting step answered:
1. I do have the payload.
2. I did delete the file, pop the card back and start hourglass, it ask me to make the choices of:

Use the (A) button and the D-Pad to turn on the following:

• "Autoboot SysNAND"
• "Use SysNAND FIRM if booting with R (A9LH)"
• "Show current NAND in System Settings"
• "Show GBA boot screen in patched AGB_FIRM

I didn't know what to do next so I shut it down lol.
3. Hourglass9 did start and showed the above mentioned so I shut it down.
4. I deleted the file because I'm located in usa. However, does it matter if i set the country or what not to a different one when first booting the 2ds? I got excited to check the firmware so I just hit next and next.
5. I started with 6.0 so I guessed that the NAND is not between 4 and 4.5? lol... so there is no firmware.bin in the folder.
6. Same as 5.
7. I did not do the testpayload as I already have one?!?! Should I?
8. Never had gateway.
9. Did not try it yet.
10. N/A

No clue what went wrong, I'm almost there too!

So I am nearly finished on Plailect's guide and I met with an issue (again): I can't access to FBI because a black screen with a message that says an "error has ocurred".

I have tried the whole inject method using DecryptWIP9 and injecting the H&S app, etc etc etc. So why is it still happening?

If you have a9lh, then yeah, try updating it. Putting the .app somewhere else won't change anything.

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but if I use the DSiWare method to downgrade an 11.0.0-33 system, and restore using one of my CFW 3DSes, will 3DS #2 (The CFW one) lose its custom firmware and be replaced with stock? Or will both 3DSes then end up with CFW?

No. 3ds #2 will still be cfw, and 3ds #1 will still be stock, only with a dsihaxxed game.

No. You need to use ntr cfw or hans in order to tske screenshots anywhere for now at least. You cannot take screenshots at all outside of 3ds apps/games
