Correct. I simply installed with 2.0b2 and updated my emuNAND, then went and updated any games that needed it in addition to downloading any eShop apps I wanted. Afterward I downgraded to 2.0b1. All the apps still work, as does playing any retail cartridge online. System settings and eShop will not launch, however. Which I don't see as a huge downside considering messing with system settings in emuNAND too much can brick you without even hitting the bricking code. Only annoying part is not being able to add new wifi connections.From what another user told me, the 3DS Settings menu does not work on 2.0b1 firmware if you have the emuNAND upgraded to 7.1. Neither does the eShop or Mii channel. I also have 2.0b1 and none of these channels work for me. They just hang at the Nintendo logo.
If you had 2.0b1 and updated to emuNAND 6.0 before 7.0 came out then those channels worked.
