where do i get started learning how to write code? i wanna be of help in the 3ds homebrew scene.

i have a goal to write a tracking/ synth program. i am fond of lsdj, but need more bass than a dmg/gbc can give.
i like the bass that i can get with my gbaccelerator ds on slow mode with korg m-01. i need sub bass though.

i am kinda confused on what you ask, if you are asking how to code in programming language (like C++ C# or assembly) (therefore giving you the skills\knowledge to being able to code something for a console like the 3ds, then there are several good websites to learn how to code, for example http://www.codecademy.com/
