@GaryOderNichts Can you tell me how you made the rpx file that goes in the code folder of your channels? I understand the rpx file is different than the original homebrews rpx file?

or better yet can you make an editable template homebrew forwarder rpx? that can be placed in the code folder then packed up with nuspacker? that way we could make our own homebrew forwarder channels (as long as we change the sd path in the rpx/add our own tga files)

Thank you for the work your doing on the WiiU. :)

Hi @GaryOderNichts , i was wondering if you could add in HID to VPAD an option to apply changes with the HID Controller assigned as a Wii U Pro controller, I don't have a Gamepad nor a Wii U Pro Controller (i only have one wiimote, one classic controller and two PS3 controllers) so i use the app with the wiimote but when I try to assign the PS3 Controller as a Wii U Pro Controller in slot 1 i can't apply changes because the wiimote turns off, it only works if i assign the controller in slot 2.

I'm currently using this workaround:
1. Open HID to VPAD
2. Assign another HID controller as a gamepad (in this case the other PS3 controller that i have)
3. Apply changes with the wiimote (this exits the app)
4. Open mii maker (to open hid to vpad again)
5. Assign the PS3 Controller as a Wii U Pro Controller in slot 1
6. Since the other PS3 Controller is already assign as the gamepad i can now apply changes with that controller

After all this it lets me use the PS3 Controller as a Wii U Pro Controller in slot 1.

And thank you for the other apps they are really useful without the gamepad.

Turns out the Wii U Plugin System and SDCafiine are seemingly no longer being worked on by Maschell.
Could you please add Pro Controller support to standalone SDCafiine?
It would sure be nice to load mods through the Pro Controller.

Maschell told me maybe a month or two ago that there is a version of the Plugin System in the works that will work with his new entry point so that you'll be able to autoboot with select plugins enabled or disabled for the Wii U.

Frankly, I can see how such a version could probably already be made for CBHC considering there is a fork of SDcafiine that when you launch it will boot directly into a game of your choice by reading a config file in the app's folder. If that can be done, I don't see why we couldn't make a config file for the Plugin System so that it auto boots your plugins of choice without going into the actual app, have the Wii U autoboot into that version of the plugin system at launch with CBHC's autoboot settings, and boom, plugins of your choice loaded at boot without even entering the app or doing anything really when you turn on the Wii U.

But I digress, point is, I wouldn't say he's done with work on the Plugin System. SDCafiine on the other hand, I've not heard any word on further development.

I tried the plugin system version, but MK8 doesn't work properly with it.
That's why I'm asking for support in the standalone version.

I won't do that.
Like I said on discord to you, SDCafiine will only be a plugin in the future which supports the pro controller.

Again, I tried the Wii U Plugin System version. Some games didn't work, whilst standalone SDCafiine has full compatibility. Not to mention that the Wii U Plugin System hasn't been updated in 2 and a half years.

Thank you for the controller mods.

I see that you have made 2 versions of FTPiiU. Does FTPiiU Everywhere include special adjustments for CBHC? If not, could you also please release a controller mod version of "FTPiiU for CBHC"? It seems to be different, and I cannot find a compiled version with the proper controller support.

FTPiiU is the normal version with SD Card access and FTPiiU Everywhere is the version with NAND access, which also comes with support for CBHC.

Thank you for clarification.

It seems that originally FTPiiU Everywhere had a version for IOSU and a separate version for CBHC. I see that those versions have been merged together in your build. I will update my FTPiiU Everywhere (CBHC 1.2 or higher edition) with your revision.

I looked into the source code for WUPS SDCafiine and found some files/code related to its controller support. Maybe you could use that for standalone SDCafiine. Thanks!

Hi for some reason I installed this and when I use Hidtovpad it works great in the Hidtovpad menu using my Wii U Pro controller to navigate there and in the menu but when I exit to go to the Wii U menu I get a white screen and it's a hard crash and have to turn off on the Wii U itself. I installed your homebrew channel.elf on the sd card, I installed via Wup installer and I installed your Hidtovpad so I'm not sure what's wrong.

Edit: Seemed to only happen with a particular controller using mayflash magic ns hooked up to the Wii U, but using Network Client it worked fine.

I have a question sorry about off topic would it be possible to make a Network Client for Nintendont? It would be so awesome to have one controller hooked up to PC and use it for both Hidtovpad and Nintendont but as of now there isn't one for Nintendont.

No, since your attached file doesn't contain any source code and it sounds like piracy.
Hi there, I am new into the WiiU modding community and for this reason I need your help.
Can you explain me why I can't go back to WiiU menu after I click the home button in the hombrew launcher channel?
My WiiU freezes right after I click the home button and I have to shut it down from the power button... I am using the web exploit with Mocha/sig patcher but it is no use... I have tried different homebrew channel versions but it is always the same...
How can you make it work properly???? Can you help me PLEASE? Thank you very much in advance

I'm currently creating some modifications of existing homebrew to support more controllers and not rely on the gamepad.
All of the modifications currently support:
  • Wiimote
  • Wii Classic Controller (Pro)
  • Wii U Pro Controller
Additionally the mods are all compilable and compiled using the latest devkit and libs.

Currently supported mods:
Todo:
  • wuphax
  • Haxchi + Installer
  • FT2SD
  • DDD
  • TCP Gecko
  • wudump
  • HID to VPAD
  • USB Transfer Tool
  • PPSSPP
All the modifiications and source can be found here: https://github.com/wiiu-controller-mods
If you want a modification for a homebew just let me know.
If you are the author of any of the modifications feel free to merge them into your application.

Credits:
  • All the original authors of the applications
  • @huma_dawii for the suggestions and the testing of all the modifications
Woul it be possible to load HBL on a different app such as Health & Safety maybe?, i hope this is possible, as i just gave my friend's gamepad back and now I'm freaked out, as i cannot play any game because i need to open mocha cfw, please?
