Nope. That is correct. But there is technically no reason to update. Even with a dns block, you can play online. Only thing which doesn't work, is the eshop. This requires the nnu patcher beforehand.

Well, technically I need to update the system software to allow these games to start, or am I mistaken?

Btw: This concept seems strange to me. My friend played these games on this system. So the Fw can’t be too old for theses games? What exactly is triggering this update requirement? Even before I entered my wifi data I was getting these. I am a bit confused.

Just after a bit of help please. I've installed the new latest system update . Now my CBHC won't autoboot. I have to keep going onto haxchi tile tile and start cbhc and boot manually into system menu. Tried changing the settings to autoboot to system menu and doesn't work. Am I missing something other than common sense lol.

So just install off the homebrew channel and "install cbhc" ? It's been such a long time since I modded the Wii?

Funny cause I was just started cleaning up my consoles and was ok with upgrading the PS3 and Xbox 360 then the WiiU had loads of trouble . All because I started off trying to partion my HDD so I could have Wii and WiiU games on the same HDD. And ended up bricking my vwii and wiping off all my WiiU games .

Hi people, sorry if I'm asking something already answered but I've been searching for a answer for a while.

My case is somewhat complicated. But basically I can't connect my gamepad with my Wii U. Since I can't go to the settings or try anything gamepad related, not even connect it back to the internet, I've been trying to uninstall CBHC so I can format the Wii U and try forcing the connection with the gamepad or something like that.

The thing is, I get the CBHC to send me to the homebrew launcher but when I run the installer I have a black screen and I can't see any option and pressing buttons doesn't seem to work Does anyone have any ideas? I've been trying for a few hours and don't know what to try anymore ><

Nope, it's in the internal drive, and it's working normally. I can boot into the system, the HBL all perfectly fine. But when I run the installer to uninstall the CBHC the screen turns all black.
By the way I just found a uninstaller (this one https://gbatemp.net/threads/haxchi-coldboot-autobooting-haxchi-installer.452208/) but it seems I also need a gamepad to control it T_T

Edit: fixing typo

I can't. Every time I try to sync it I get a generic error. There's nor even a code for that just "An error has occurred, please turn the system off and try again". I'm trying to fix that too but that's another topic haha

I can't unfortunately. All my friends already moved on haha But since I can still sync controlles and wiimotes I think it's fine.
nope, wiimotes and every controller besides the gamepad uses bt sync, gamepad uses another type of wlan sync due to streaming, its not bt sync at all.
