I'm running into a problem where USBloader GX can see my wii games but not my gamecube games(yes I have it under games/[game name]/game.iso on my sd card). The games can be played if I load into nintendont directly. Also my loader ios and game ios are at 249/249 and if I change to 58/251 it no longer can initialize my wii usb. Does anyone know why this is?

Hello Egadzz,

In the configuration menu, there is a sub menu called Custom Paths, in there, you can change the GC Games path, try it.

Remember to put them in the SD Card!

HI Eipok, I think my sd card is having problems. Instead of reading the config file from my sd card it's recreating a brand new config file in my wii usb. I'm going to try reformatting and see if that helps.

That actually happened to me as well... At the end I had to use another SD card!

So that ended up being the problem, the program I used probably didn't format it right(even though it said it was FAT32) so I found another one and that did the trick. Hours wasted on this shit haha, at least it's fixed.

I'm impressed with your setup!

This would be the definitive emulation system (for the systems it supports that is).

Thanks for showing this, will prove useful to build one too!

Hello Egadzz,

Nice to hear that you finally solved!

Which program did you use to do the format correctly?

Hello CMDreamer!

Thank you very much for your words! Hope you find it useful!

Hello SUZY2092,

Thanks for writing. For doing an easy and fast procedure to hack it, I recommend you to put my SD kit directly in your SD, execute the following steps, and if you have any doubt in the procedure, I recommend you to open a new post with the specific questions that you might have.

------------------------------
Wii U Hack Hack 5.5.3, - 5.5.4
------------------------------
* Covers: http://www.gametdb.com/WiiU/BWPP01

1. Run the Exploit through the browser:

• * You have to put the Homebrew Launcher .ELF in the path (it is located in the same path in the OLD folder): 00.SD \ wiiu \ apps \ homebrew_launcher \
• Buy the Brain Training game.
• Webs:
○ sleepii.ovh (Sploit: Nº3)
○ wiiuexploit.xyz/firmware/55X.html

2. Install Haxchi in the game (as if replacing it) Brain Training.

• * Do it immediately after the exploit, without restarting, so you don't have to do it more times.
• Description: voucher to access the Homebrew Launcher without having to run the browser exploit.
• Link: https://github.com/FIX94/haxchi/releases
• Installer path: SD: \ haxchi
• App HomeBrew / Haxchi path: SD: \ wiiu \ apps \ haxchi

3. Install ColdBoot to start what is called Syspatch / check, that is, it starts patched and it can open installed things, such as artisan channels, VC, eshop and DLC.

* BEWARE, brick possibility: by updating the Wii U, move Haxchi, uninstall Haxchi from the Wii U menu.

1. Disconnect the hard drives.
2. Start the Wii U, enter the Homebrew Launcher, and start the sign_c2w_patcher program, to be able to install things with the WUP Installer.
3. Move the Haxchi to the last page and put it in a folder.
4. Load it to open the Homebrew Launcher.
5. Update Haxchi in the same Haxchi app. Just reinstall.
6. Install Channel Forwarder from Homebrew Launcher with WupInstaller.
7. Go to the ColdBoot application, press button A, and again.
8. When it finishes installing, restart the Wii U, when the black screen appears with Autoboot, press the home button on the remote to choose: Autoboot: System Menu and choose Boot System Menu.

• * The Haxchi icon will have already changed, do not touch or move it.
• * The Mocha CFW 0.2, nor the FAT32 mod work well since when exiting the Homebrew Launcher, the Wii U hangs.

4. (Just in case) Uninstall ColdBoot:

1. Go to the CBHC (Coldboot Haxchi) application: first press button A and then button B to uninstall.
2. We turn off the console and turn it on again.
3. Load Homebrew Launcher to see if it won't let us in, which will mean, the patched startup has actually been removed.
4. Reopen the browser exploit (the first time it worked for me with loadiine.ovh, or with sleepii.ovh), and you have to have the Haxchi application in the root and in the wiuu / apps on the SD.
5. Reinstall Haxchi.
6. Operate normal.

5. Install Channel Forwarder of USB Loader GX with WupInstaller:

• Install on USB to avoid error 199-999: https://gbatemp.net/threads/usb-loa...nel-for-wii-u-menu.482595/page-6#post-7898223

• It is not really an injection, but it redirects the execution to the vWii forwarder (UNEO), that is why it does recognize Wii games, (and it does not do so with the channel I used to do) because it opens the USB Loader GX since the vWii where the Hide Partitions, it no longer hides the USB.

• * To install a channel on the USB, it is necessary to remove the USB from below.
https://gbatemp.net/threads/usb-loader-gx-forwarder-channel-for-wii-u-menu.482595/

6. Install WiiU2HBC Channel Forwarder with WupInstaller:

• Install on the NAND.
• * To install a channel in the Nand it is not necessary to remove the USB from below.
https://gbatemp.net/threads/release-wiiu2hbc-a-hbl2hbc-forwarder-channel.455991/

------------------------------
Virtual Wii Hack
------------------------------
* Important to put all my kit in the SD.
* GC games are managed with the GC BackUp Manager program (https://wii.scenebeta.com/noticia/dmlconv) and Wii games with Wii BackUp Manager (http://www.wiibackupmanager.co.uk/downloads .html).

1. Open Wuphax from the Wii U HBL to hack the Mii Channel of the vWii. (Option A)

2. Open Wii mode and open the Mii Channel to install the HBC.

3. Open Wuphax from the Wii U HBL to restore the Mii Channel of the vWii. (Option B)

4. Install d2x CIOS: V10 BETA 53 D2X ...
a. 56 249
b. 57 250
c. 58 251

5. Install IOS 236 Installer v8 special edition:
a. Installs a patched IOS36 into the IOS236 slot.

6. Open Yet Another Wad Manager, select that you do not want another IOS, and install:
○ USB Loader GX-UNEO_Forwarder_5_1_AHBPROT (For vWii ONLY).
○ Homebrew Channel "Wide".

Hope it helps.

Best

@eipok can 'normal' sized sd cards also be used in the transcend reader plugged in into the wii u? I mean, is'nt there any mechanical issue with this?

Want to go this way because the greater ones are cheaper.

Thx

Hello Popy,

It should actually. But take into account that the Wii U is sometimes very picky and because of no reason apparently, some SD cards/USB sticks and so on, don't work... The answer is just try!

@eipok
Thanks a lot for your efforts.

Have setup my WiiU and overall its running great.
Just a few questions:

On FCEU GX (3.4.3 - loaded with WIiU Forwarder) i have an Issue with the covers (comming from retroarch), please see this picture.
Is this a normal behaviour and also on your side?
Also tried a newer version without injecting (directly launched from the HBC from vWii, there it show no covers at all.
No major issue, just want to know that i dont put effort in and its intended to be an bug :-)

thx pOpY

7. Position the Homebrew App Store v1.5 on the SD
• * Trust more in the applications that I have in the SD, since some like the Loadiine and Mod, the one of the AppStore does not work.
• * The Homebrew Launcher for example, in the store says that the last one is 1.4, when in fact it is 2.1, which is the one I have on the SD.

• Used to install the rest of the applications.
• Path: SD: \ wiiu \ apps \ appstore
• Link: https://github.com/vgmoose/hbas/releases

8. Position the Loadiine GX2 and Loadiine GX2_MOD (For games with DLC) to load games from the SD.
• No need to launch CFW.
• Games path: C: \ Users \ Guille \ Downloads \ SD \ wiiu \ games
• Cover art path: C: \ Users \ Guille \ Downloads \ SD \ wiiu \ apps \ loadiine_gx2 \ covers3d (http://www.gametdb.com/)

• They are downloaded from the USB Helper program in Loadiine format (with updates and DLC).

• To put updates: merge the folders of the original version and that of the updates.
• To put DLC: (Loadiine GX2 modified to use Free DLC !!! "For WII U 5.5.2 or lower")
○ Put in the root of the game folder, you have to put a new folder, which includes the files from the content folder of the DLC.
○ In addition, the folder name must be changed to the corresponding TITLE_ID, from the 0005000C: eShop title DLC table, removing the hyphen in the middle. (http://wiiubrew.org/wiki/Title_database)

You better don't pay attention to that. I have changed the instructions.

Anyway, those programs do very different things; WUP Installer is for install games, and Loadiine to play them (I only use them for some VC games as I wrote in my OP).

Hey guys! For those with this kind of doubts I highly recommend to you first read the OP, or ask to Google because these doubts are really basic, and for you guys and I, will be saving a lot of time.

Hello Popy,

Good question! It happens to me the same. You can change in the options to show screenshots instead of covers.
