They already do that and have for a while (unless you specifically mean Microsoft and Sony). There are Raspberry Pis that come with Lakka preinstalled, and then there's Valve's Steam Machine which is why SteamOS was developed in the first place. Of course it's just Linux running underneath on these boxes, and they can act as fully fledged PCs, but they're marketed as dedicated gaming rigs. SteamOS, for example, is just Ubuntu with Big Picture Mode set as the desktop environment instead of a traditional environment like GNOME or KDE. I mean, the Xbone is technically this too, since it's an x86 machine running a custom version of Windows 10.

I was referring to m$ and Sony, plus the PS4 and xbone are 64bit amd64, x86 is 32bit, plus that's intel core, I don't think a rasp pi I going to run gta v or battlefield, emulation and multi media yeah

I was saying that they'll Ditch gaming consoles and just make gaming rigs, compete with Alienware, power without the price

It is, but it's 64bit with the x86 instruction set, hence x86-64. Sorry, I didn't mean to imply it was 32bit.

Well yeah. That's why Pis are usually emulation and media server boxes. I'd still consider a Lakka Pi a dedicated gaming PC since that's the point, though.
compete with Alienware
Are they even worth competing against these days? I thought MSI was the crown holder of gaming PCs. Or are those overpriced garbage, too? I figured most of these "gaming" brands are like Apple and that's what you're paying for; the brand.

32-bit compatibility, but natively a 64bit cpu

i have no issues with msi:

i guess to compete with alienware in the pre-assembled hardware market, they sell alienware computers at my walmart as "premium gaming rigs", for like 1-2 grand (for 1-2 grand you can build a rig like in the pic) if m$ and sony do the the same thing and have units under $600 then they would put alienware in a coffin

They basically admitted they don't care if you buy a Xbox Series X. Their logic is they'll make plenty of sales from PC and Gamepass even if you don't.

m$ made billions writing software, not building hardware; imho they probably would prefer everyone buy a pc instead of game consoles, its cheaper to write and maintain software than hardware, game consoles now seem to target people who want to play games, but don't know how to buy a computer or build one, or cannot afford so, or cannot responsibly use expensive hardware, now its just a way for the companies to find different ways to charge your debit card (and don't say its a recurring charge)

arduino is not fast enough nor suitable for this, a fpga or cpld instead would be used for such purpose for a hardware attack
Like I said, they're useful. Wouldn't post anything if it wouldn't do anything in the first place

a 16mhz (or even 100mhz) microcontroller doesn't have the throughput needed for such a thing, when the bus is running at several GHz, it's too slow and it has too much overhead, an fpga isn't the same as an Arduino, everything is done in hardware on fpga, while in software on a microcontroller

One day I'll post sauce. Been on and off research, interesting results to be honest.

Another thing I've noticed is that an oscillator is missing on the back or there's just a singluar trace going to the CPU; trace the pads from the JTAG port to Y4T1. I've noticed not all phat motherboards have this oscillator setup

Has anyone come across this yet?
Any phat Xbone
Neat stuff eh?

hResult =,
Cmd data error,
Cmd Buffer Full,
Unknown Class1 Cmd,
Unknown Class2 Cmd,
Unknown Class3 Cmd,
No error,

ISD-VPE Ver 920. 000c 08/05/2013 PV_Prod_Units_Rev5 VERSION 0x100

Someone push my snowball, it's at the top of the hill

Not sure at this point scratching my head. Inching my way tho. I believe hResult may have been part of the data retrieved as well. It's a wonky way of pulling these strings

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

I'm not doing an attack currently on the cpu other, things on it

for dumping small bits data (if there is a serial port) or the nand you can use an arduino for that (does the xbone have post points? that could read by a mcu too probably) , however its way to slow for anything such as rgh, or any timing/logic attack on the hardware, maybe a 32 bit microcontroller like pic32mx or stm32

Arduino -> SMBus

Bought a Due Arduino, 32bit arm.
Will work on Due code, Uno is easier to work with at the moment due to my silly mind wiping SSD. The Due interacts with the bus differently. 7, 8 bit addressing. I think I had to close and restart the transmission a specific way. === Update on this part: Might be 10-bit? Finding things outside of the short 127 range

code off of memory. Started this at the beginning of covid and set it aside for some reason during my PC upgrade. MSI X570 Godlike Motherboard <3

Another edit: haha I must've bricked it during my last attempt. 2nd mobo tho ay

i still cannot understand why ps4 has had different kind of exploits but there isn't any single one for the xbox

Because the Xbox one doesn't draw enough interest from hackers.

because of dev mode.....

if you take dev mode into account the only reason to find an exploit is:

A. piracy/modding

B. run linux, though windows should be possible too technically speaking

C. (Demo) scene cred
