They already do that and have for a while (unless you specifically mean Microsoft and Sony). There are Raspberry Pis that come with Lakka preinstalled, and then there's Valve's Steam Machine which is why SteamOS was developed in the first place. Of course it's just Linux running underneath on these boxes, and they can act as fully fledged PCs, but they're marketed as dedicated gaming rigs. SteamOS, for example, is just Ubuntu with Big Picture Mode set as the desktop environment instead of a traditional environment like GNOME or KDE. I mean, the Xbone is technically this too, since it's an x86 machine running a custom version of Windows 10.
I was referring to m$ and Sony, plus the PS4 and xbone are 64bit amd64, x86 is 32bit, plus that's intel core, I don't think a rasp pi I going to run gta v or battlefield, emulation and multi media yeah
