Hello everyone, and thank you very much for your kind messages.

As you might have noticed, I already published updates of the patch.

Nothing major, but a few modification here and there, as well as a flickering menu I had missed.

More will probably come after I've played the game intensively to the end (far much easier now), so please stay tuned, and don't forget to publish a screenshot if anything is mistranslated or presents a typo.

Have a nice WE !

Hello everybody.

I will be away for a few weeks, but before I go, some people asked where they could find Partition Builder to modify the ISO, since most links seem to be dead.

Here is a post where you can download it directly, thanks NikkoKozukata for that :

https://gbatemp.net/threads/help-i-need-partition-builder-1-1.553466/

As for Wiiscrubber, you can find it here :

https://wiidatabase.de/downloads/pc-tools/wiiscrubber/

(do not forget to create the key.bin if it's your first time using Wiiscrubber : https://wiidatabase.de/downloads/pc-tools/makekeybin/)

Hi there i download the patch yesterday and applied to the iso and then convert to wbfs to play in Usb loader GX but in the hour that i played i noticed that the text to skip cutscenes is still in japanese nothing to worry about for me i read katakana but is weird that by the moment that's the only untranslated text, maybe is the loader?

Hello and thank you for downloading. I actually replaced the katakana since I couldn't find that part in the file. Looks to me you forgot to replace the font file in the iso. Do you have the same font in the game that my video has, or does it look smaller and harder to read? If this is the case, I invite you to put the font file from my patch into your ISO. Hope it will help !

@Brand Newman I replace everything that must be replaced, the font size seems the same to me, i remember that in the translated patch of Tales of Graces one requierement to make it work is to put the language game in japanese in the loader per game configurations, i'll try that when i get to my house. In the case that i need to replace again the font (or maybe do it correctly) i need to do all the process again or just extract the partition0 and replace the font and load that partition will work?

Just extract and replace. The other modified files are already in your ISO :). I'm almost certain it's the cause of your problem since the region parameter cannot influence that part (it's technically still showing the katakana, but I replaced the letters in that part). Please let me know about that, and about the translation qualities and flaws in general.

I got the V.01.03 BETA but when i loaded the game it says V.01.02 BETA at the first screen. The translation does indeed work on an actual wii with wiiscrubber method. I only saw wierd text when i didnt have a nunchuk plugged in at the beginning.

Thank you for your feedback. Guess I forgot to modify the beta number on the first screen... my mistake. I'm glad you could make it work on a real wii with my method. And yes, a nunchuck (or a classic controller) is mandatory.

Have a nice day !

@Brand Newman Hi i redo the patch and it works fine, the skip text is ok now, i guess there are two options one is i missed to replace the font file or the other one is the iso i dowload has two partitions the 0 has like 3 ios files and the partion1 has all the archives for the game, the first time i do the patch i delete the partition 0 with the ios files, and now i do the process from zero with that iso patched and now it works.

I miss those moments when Wii was at his best and people wanted fan-translations in another language and they would meet in forums to make it possible... as in the case of Okami that a project was made to translate it into spanish in my country... good times.
I don't speak english natively, but I'm going to test your translation ^_^

So I've been playing the game a lot while waiting for my computer to be back from repair, and detected a few typo and breakline to correct. But the most annoying are the flickering menus. The more you unlock, the more likely your menu is to flicker... too many letters at the same time. I already used a few trick (like when replacing five stars by a star and a number "5"), but the next patch will probably have to compromise a bit more with the description of powers, missions, etc... sorry about that. Well at least I encountered no major issue or bug, hope you didn't either.

I just registered to say this: Thanks for your hard work on this patch!

Although I'd like to keep my Wii collection nice&tidy on an external hdd, I ordered the game right away ($12 incl p&p on eBay) just to play another translation of an "unknown" game. Thanks also for that! I will probably convert your patch to ISO/wbfs, as I like it best that way, so thanks for making that possible, too!!

On a slightly different topic: I also ordered "Ikenie No Yoru" / "Night of the Sacrifice" (a horror adventure from 2011 using the balance board) that also received a translation patch using Riivolution some years ago. Since no information is available if it works or if it's playable from end to end, I'm just going to try it out. Here's my question: Do you think it would be possible to make a ISO patch out of it, too? It uses not full file replacements, but only patches part of the files, as far as I can see.

Anyways: I'm now eagerly awaiting the arrival of Earth Seeker!

Well "ecto ", you and I have a lot in common, I bought ikenie just like you

I tried to see whether I could use the work that was done before on that game, but so far I couldn't find the text which must be compressed in some way... you see I got lucky with earth seeker, as the japanese text was actually in plain sight, so what was left to do was translation...

But I'm gonna try a little more when I get my computer back, although, first thing first, my priority remains to finalize my earth seeker patch (I'm almost at the end of the game, so expect a new patch when my computer is repaired).

Thank you for your kind words, do not hesitate to ask for help of you meet any difficulty with the patch !
