And I must say that this is much better than I had imagined. It's SO fast!!!! Just brilliant! The car handling in OutRun is very good!

Amen to that, Out Run is one of my favourite games of all time and the soundtrack is a classic. I still play it via Mame with a wheel and pedals. It's hard to believe I'm carrying such a good conversion of this around in my pocket!! Maybe this wil get me away from advance wars for a while

Who is that girl to the left on your avatar?

hey Elrinth, the girl to the left on my avatar is also Yuna from Final Fantasy X-2 (one of her costume changes in the game). Never heard any stuff by the band to/die/for, what kind of material do they play ? I'll have a search for it on kazaa

Again ? A port of them ? ok, it's good to have them on a handheld and with a good quality but i prefer to see original sega games on gba too. Btw, the best version of out run is on saturn, with a special code (or after you finish the game), you can run it faster and smoother than the arcade game.

I tested the games on hardware , and I never thought they can be so fun... When i saw the game I thought that it was gonna be another crappy port but... not! I almost cry when i saw outrun backlited with my SP...

Really cool....

The Sega Saturn version of Out Run rocks. I have the one on the Sega Ages Volume 1 collection as well as the stand alone JAP import version which allows you to put the game CD into a normal CD player and listen to the music as well remixed versions too

I think the GBA version of Out Run is really cool, better than the Megadrive/Genesis version. Was a bit worried after seeing the crappy Sega Rally on GBA that it was going to be similar but thank God it's not.

@AncientBoi, Yeah, believe you can do PSP games as well. But a Pi5 is much powerful in comparison.

Not sure about other models of Pi4 but the Pi 4 B with 8GBs OCed to 2Ghz handles PSP really great except like 1 game I found and it is playable it just looks bad lol Motor Storm Arctic something or other.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Other games I can have turned up to like 2X and all kinds of enhancements, Motorstorm hmmm nope 1X and no enhancements lol

I will admit that one does seem more interesting than the usual Ambernic ones, and I already liked those.

    I dread the price point.

  • Veho @ Veho:
This looks like one of their premium models, so... $150 :glare:

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    To me that seems reasonable.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I mean since basically all the games are errmmm free lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean yeah sure but the specs are the same as a $50 model, it's just those pesky "quality of life" things driving up the price, like an actually working speaker, or buttons that don't melt, and stuff like that.

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think all in my Pi 4 was well north of 200 bucks 150ish for the Pi 4 the case the fancy cooler, then like 70 for the 500GB MicroSD then like 70 for the Xbox controller. But honestly it's a nice set up I really enjoy and to me was worth every penny. (even bought more controllers for 2 or 4 player games.) hmmm have never played any 2 player games yet :(
  • Veho @ Veho:
Yeah that's what I hate about the RPi, it's supposedly $30 or something but it takes an additional $200 of accessories to actually turn it into a working something.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
yes that's the expensive part lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean sure it's flexible and stuff but so is uremum but it's fiddly.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Yeah a lot of it I consider a hobby, using Batocera I am constantly adjusting the collection adding and removing stuff, scraping the artwork. Haven't even started on some music for the theme... Also way down the road I am considering attempting to do a WiiFlow knock off lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I want everything served on a plate plz ktnx, "work" is too much work for me.
  • Veho @ Veho:
Hmm, with that in mind, maybe a complete out-the-box solution with all the games collected, pacthed and optimized for me would be worth $150
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Yeah it's all choice and that's a good thing :)
