I can totally agree with this opinion. It may sound harsh, but those people are not helping the scene in any way.
They are what is pushing driving forces of the hb scene away. Incredibly lazy pirates or whinging brickers.
I'm not saying that you absolutely can not pirate. That would be in vain as it is an almost inevitable consequence of hb.
But being this incompetent is putting a strain on everyone that wants to support the scene for what ever reason and endangering themselves and even others.
You see so many uneducated posts about risky actions like downgrading and initial setups. So many bad "tutorials" to follow, only to end up with a brick and no boot0/1 and biskey backups...
Sadly its not possible to fence information or tools to protect them from themselves. It would be the wrong way anyway. At some point tools and information will leak and lead to even more damage as it is now.
In the current time being uneducated about something doesn't make people back away of giving uneducated advice. This is one of the worst problems. It is causing people new to the subject to have a bad start, the spread misinformation and so on.

You can but I suggest not getting a SX Pro, as you have to choose either to load SX OS, or to load SX Gear (for other payloads) depending on what boot.dat is on your SD. You can't easily dual boot SX OS and other payloads with it, you have to chainload any other payloads you want through the SX OS menu which Atmo doesn't work with directly. RCMloader One is the dongle I use and it's much better than SX Pro.
Hi i updated atmosphere to 0.9.2 and the only games that load now are mario maker & tennis. The rest just say could not start software try again from the home screen. So i Updated fw to 8.1.0 but that still didn't work has anyone else had this & how can i fix it

Evening all, decided to play around with my switch a bit, I used SX OS but got banned and put the switch away, been reading through this thread and just wondered if someone could point me to a tutorial on how to use Argon-NX so I can run both CFW, thanks in advance
You do realise that no CFW will allow you to play online on Nintendo's server if you've already been banned, right?
Why not just update to latest SX OS, update your system firmware and enjoy all the hundreds of single player games?
Exactly. That is all I use my Systems for. Single Player Games.

True. You can load Hekate from the SX menu, it's just a bit more of a hassle and who knows if it will work in the future. It clearly doesn't load payloads the same way RCM does since it has some compatibility issues, in the future it could end up not being compatible with any payloads.

That is why sxos is so awesome. You have the ability to basically quin boot? Is that a word? Sextuple boot? Haha. So you get atmosphere for homebrew. Linuxl4t for docked gamecube. Lakka for some nice reicast on the go. Sxos for usb loading. Reinx if you feel frisky. And heck if you want you could even load the stock firmware. No phone or pc needed. Just a charged dongle.
If you feel boring you could boot to stock.

Not actually my point. So sure usb loading is wonderful. Anyway why would you not want a feature? But the key here is on the fly payloads no pc no phone needed. Its very convenient. And yes unlike other solutions you also get usb loading which is a pretty big deal. But the real reason sxos dongle is powerful is you can use everything. So many users are confused about this and think they can ONLY use sxos. Read the comments above for other people pointing this out.
In any situation always make sure you have the longer list of options. Why would you want one less feature? Just to save money? Buy those dongles while you can hahaha

You still need something to deploy the sx os payload.
You can use everything, including sx os, from anything that can deploy payloads. You still have to buy sx os, but you don't need their dongle.
I have one with a decent battery, rather than those stupid super caps that don't last.
Yes. Money is the reason why everyone in the world can't have everything. I can wait for xci loading.

Here we have ketoprofen that used to be prescription-only because of the risk of toxic dosages, but then they halved the dose per pill and sell them in bottles of six pills apiece instead of twenty and it doesn't need a prescription any more. Yes you can buy more than one bottle but people simply don't.
