that's the odd thing, both me and my friend have the EXACT samekind, and neither works.

i have decided to simply switch it to a different SD card after quite a lot of moving files. it works fine now. no idea why the micro wouldnt work.

I have the same error ("SD Mount failed."). I'm trying a 128GB microSD card (Sandisk), formatted to FAT32 with EASEUS Partition Master. I tried loads of other SD formatting tools but EASEUS Partition Master was the only one that managed to successfully format to FAT32. I am using the same SDXC SD adaptor that I use with my 32GB microsd card, but no joy as yet. :(

In the vWii, I am succesfully able to copy/delete savedata to the 128GB microSD card.. so it is deffo mounted there in the vWii. Hmm.

EDIT: SOLVED!! Thanks to Cyans advice here:

i.e. format first with Panasonic SD formatter (to exFAT), then use guiformat to format to fat32 (ensure Explorer is CLOSED otherwise it will give an error when you try to format).

My 2 cents. I had same problem. SD card unable to mount thingy. I read the this thread and I found Twin issues.
1. My SD card adapter was LOOSE at resting place.
2. My another SD card was NOT formatted as FAT32 but ex-FAT.
so to test if my SD card slot is not failing. I went to vWII mode and try to load homebrew from SD card. It didn't showed WIIFlow. Then I pressed the SD card little with fingers little UP and it started showing WIIFLOW. SO this card had Adpater loose problem.
my another SD card was NEW but I formatted by mistake to ex-FAT. I again formated using mini-partition tool to FAT32 and the copied the wiiU folder as structure. Next time this card recognized fine without even pressing.

This is an old thread, but @RowanDDR 's pointer to Cyans thread fixed it for me. Bitlocker and Wii U SD Cards do not mix--reformatting with EaseUS or Guiformat alone did nothing, kept getting -4 on CBHC and 'Please insert Fat32 SD Card' on the web sploits. Using Panasonics SD Formatter + just a quick guiformat fixed it for me.

@Vinicius Damn. Were you unable to use any built-in system sd card operations in vWii with multiple types of sd cards? I hope that was necessary...how did it go?

Well, I bought this used console for a very low price. I was not informed that he had this problem. I have two SD cards: a 2GB that came with my old 3DS and a 16GB microSD. I've tried both. Both are recognized in vWii, but they inform me that "can not be used". When I try to save the Mii image on the SD Card, it tells me that it has no SD card. For these reasons, I believe he recognizes that there is a card but it is not possible to read it. I have tried almost everything I found on the forums: formatting in exfat and then fat32, using other programs, changing the allocation size ... So I opened the console to check the connectors in the slot and everything seemed normal for me ... I ended up buying a new reader and I'm looking for a professional here in Brazil that can do this service to me.

Thanks for this thread. My SD-card slot was actually so full of crap that it didn't read the memory card. Never experienced that before in my life. Some compressed air did the trick.
