Last of us part II and death stranding will easily carry the ps4 above the 100 million mark, and as with all of Sony's previous consoles longer support
for the system might actually bring it into the top 3.

When you think that it will still sell for another 3 years from now easily, you've got to think it will go past the 125 million mark easily enough in total.

It will surely only end up behind the DS and the PS2 in total.

with the ps5 being hardware backward compatible, I'd image ps4 games will still be developed and ps4 will still be produced for a while after the ps5 is released. So yeah, easily done. go sony.

I made a graph the other day (shameless plug, I am going to post it for a third time) and analyzing this graphs I am confident that the PS4 might surpass the PS2 and turn into the most sold console of all time when it reaches EoL. And that was totally unexpected for me before recollecting data and analyzing trends.

Well, they expect to send 16M this 2019FY, so 102m are "easy" to beat, but in 2020 and later who knows, maybe with 2 more years of support until 2022, they can reach 120M at the end.
