I finished installing the cfw and completed the guide and I decided to take a break but, when I came back to turn it on, it was in the black screen crash dump error thingy.

I finished installing the cfw and completed the guide and when I turned it off and turned it backed on again, it for some reason there was the black screen.
  1. Remove the micro SD card from the n3DSXL.
  2. Turn on the system and hold (SELECT).
Please state whether you see Luma3DS v9.1 configuration on the top screen and Booted from CTRNAND via B9S on the bottom screen.

or

The n3DSXL flashes the blue LED once and stays turned off.

Everything just stays black and the led doesn’t turn blue. Even godmode9 doesn’t work!

The charging doesn’t even work too!

So without the micro SD card, your n3DSXL doesn't turn on at? If it turns on and stays on, the blue LED should be continuously illuminated.

If boot9strap was installed but there isn't Luma3DS boot.firm on the internal CTRNAND drive, that light would flash once per a (POWER) button press and then the n3DSXL would stay off.

If custom firmware was removed (no boot9strap) and the 3DS firmware was not absolutely perfect in signed tickets and matching system titles, the n3DSXL would boot with black screens and stay on with blue LED. Luma3DS chainloader/GodMode9 and Luma3DS v9.1 configuration would not be accessible. Depending on the severity, even Recovery Mode may not work.

The charging doesn’t even work too!
Orange LED won't kick on with AC adapter plugged in if the battery is fully charged.

No signs of life from the LED indicators, not even any illumination from the LCD screens? Black images with lighting is not considered hardbricked per se.

Nothing works! Nothing is illuminating and I did everything right. Plus it was half of the battery percent when I turned it off so the charging light would’ve been on and I did not remove custom firmware.

Unplug the AC charger from the n3DSXL if it is currently plugged in.
Take out the battery and keep it removed.
Plug in the AC charger in the n3DSXL without the battery in place.

If your n3DSXL is hard bricked, the center orange LED will not light up and stay on for about 5 seconds.

Please don’t do that I don’t want anyone else breaking their 3ds. And I had the crash dump black screen thingy once before and I brought it to the store and they fixed it and now it’s different, nothing is showing.

Would it be dead batterythis time?
(Could you recall how the store repaired it and what was the cause if they ever investigated?)

I’m in Vietnam rn and the store is here it is called nshop and the website is nshop.vn (UK web also available). It took like a minute or 2 to fix it while I was looking at amiibo and he came back with it fixed. The reason why that happened was because I tried updating my firmware but it just stopped halfway while updating and showed the black screen but now, now it’s different.

And turdpoocharger, please don’t do that to your 3ds.

It took a while to get results as I drained my battery until it was red with it playing on intro loop in Monster Hunter XX and Pokemon Ultra Sun. I purposely crashed my 3DS trying to open Homebrew Launcher without boot.3dsx on the SD card.

I let it sit blinking with red LEDs until it turned itself off.
A similiar repeat of this was done with a hex edited movable.sed so that this causes an ARM9 error. If the battery is dead, pressing the (HOME) button will do nothing. However, plugging the AC charger back in will add some juice. While absolutely bad to subject this type of stress on the battery, my n3DSXL still turns on.

No i didn’t update it now, that was last time and this time was just that I turned it off to go take a break and when I went to go turn it back on, the black screen appeared so I didn’t update now.
