OCDM - Mario Maker 3DS course manager

OCDM stands for Online Course Database Manager

Features*:
  • import and export courses, both** 3DS and WiiU
  • cryptofix saves (if the game marked your save as "corrupted")
    • Note: this will overwrite the LockoutID in your courses, not in the save file, so please be fair and don't reupload others' courses :)
  • make/apply save snapshots (exports all files which are used in the save)
    • Note: please format your save data before restoring your save otherwise the game could mark your save as "corrupted", and this one is not cryptofixable
  • browse SMMDB
    • download courses
    • discontinued

*: these features are in the latest build at the time of editing this post, so functionality in the public build could differ
**: due to differences in the 3DS and the WiiU version, importing a converted course file on a foreign platform could crash the game on loading the course

Hello, I can not understand one feature. Why in ocdm, in smmdb, there are some levels that are missing from the smmdb site? Yesterday I downloaded the 3ds level - mission inposible, he had 8 stars, and after the game he wanted to download it to the phone, but he doesn’t have it on the website, and it has not been deleted, in ocdm it still exists. The same is true for the turnover on the site there are many levels that are not displayed in ocdm, although I can download them on the phone and import it into 3ds and they will work. How it works?

I've got an old save on JKSM. I'd like to be able to play with it since I had all medals and some creations that took me hours to make. If I try to inject it in my New 3ds, the save is marked as corrupted.

Can you please explain the step I have to follow to cryptofix it? I'm not sure I understand how.

What does it mean? Does it mean i'm f**ked? ^^

Is v0.6 the latest version?

Thanks

If you didn't back up the save you're overwriting and it gets marked as corrupted, it might not be possible to fix it until you reformat the save completely, and re-import the backed up save.

As for the "how to import a full save", I actually forgot to implement that. There is code for cryptofixing the files, but there "import all" code is unfinished, and thus it's not visible in the GUI.

I understood that you do not want people to see how many times they passed and how many stars were set, but is it possible so that you can know this for your levels? I post new ones with periodicity, but I don’t know if people like my levels, how many people have passed it?

You can see how many stars you got by holding a button which I forgot. It's either X, Y, L, or R. As for how many people passed it, I doubt it's implemented in SMMDB.

Is there a working cia of this and where cam I find it?
Oh no, I looked at the file in a hex editor, and it says "SMMDB (placeholder)" :(

I have corrected the mistake, please try this one: https://puu.sh/Cmtk5/09c496d6b7.cia

OCDM doesn't filter the levels. Since it's supposed to support both 3DS and WiiU saves, it doesn't filter them out, and automatically converts a WiiU save to a 3DS save.

Is there some place online, perhaps a Discord channel, where one could request a few levels to be uploaded on the Super Mario Maker Database site?

Just a little thing but with a few testing Ive deduced that as it relates to levels on SMMDB, Mystery Mushrooms placed in the level or coming from pipes remain Mystery Mushrooms, while ones placed in Question Mark Blocks become Weird Mushrooms. No idea why there's a distinction.

Ok so Im unsure if this is something that has already been dealt with but while downloading and playing levels from SMMDB is fine, if I download a level from Recommended Courses and then save it with OCDM, putting that level back on my system gives a message saying the course is corrupted and will be deleted. The version of the app I have now is from:

No idea why that could be. I haven't touched any 3DS stuff in a while. SMM3D update?

Okay I did a bit of testing and apparently:

Saving my own level and putting it back on the same system: Works
Saving a Recommended Courses level and putting it back on the same system: Doesnt work
Saving my own level and putting it on another system: Works
Saving a Recommended Courses level and putting it on another system: Works

So something is making the second one not work. I mean its no big deal since I back up levels by saving the whole Exdata anyways, which still works fine regardless. I was just just trying to transfer a level between two of my saves when the error came up and figured you should know about it. And no SMM3DS updates that I'm aware of.

Thx a million!!
Is there a .3dsx version of this release?

I haven't tested this, just 7za'd these files: https://puu.sh/D8bXu/3e10ba6f6f.7z

Before you ask, yes, you MUST also put the XML file next to the 3dsx.
Also, this is not guaranteed to work at all with Rosalina, preferably load this with *hax.
If you only have Rosalina then just install the cia.
