I know that NSPs with fake tickets are pretty much automatic bans, but what about XCIs converted to NSPs with no tickets? I'd like to avoid buying SX OS just to use XCIs, so are these conversions safer than fake ticket NSPs?
Safer? Yes. I don't have plans on adding that as a separate question but if you only installed ticket-less .NSP files (and have already ensured you do not have any fake tickets remaining in your system), then indicate as such during the .NSP portion of the survey.I know that NSPs with fake tickets are pretty much automatic bans, but what about XCIs converted to NSPs with no tickets? You cant. Can you do a system transfer while banned? I'm getting a new switch. You win, nintendorks.
Talk about some fucking overkill. I just need my account, games and save data. You cant.
Don't use the same account from a banned Switch, the TICKETS (fake ones) or real ones are carried over the new Switch via your account, its very likely you will get banned for using the same account!Talk about some fucking overkill. I just need my account, games and save data.
But I didn't use it for nsps. I just used it for emulators and shitDon't use the same account from a banned Switch, the TICKETS (fake ones) or real ones are carried over the new Switch via your account, its very likely you will get banned for using the same account!
I haven't been banned on my new Switch but all of the tickets for backups and updates or NSP are there, I have no idea how they got there but I have them there. The only thing I did was to link my banned account and boom.. Nintendo's Magic.
Then you are fine, but just in case... so you can be completely sure about it.But I didn't use it for nsps. I just used it for emulators and shit
Neat-o. I would never pirate anything. Then you are fine, but just in case... so you can be completely sure about it.
Since firmware 6.0, Nintendo has been banning more and more people for using homebrew (before, it was only one isolated case where a user also cleared error logs on 5.X). Some of these people were banned for using a save manager on Splatoon 2, without even modifying the save file. The risk is there but its hard to quantify. How at risk am I of a ban if I'll I've done is load Atmosphere onto my Switch for the sole purpose of using Checkpoint to back up my saves then rebooting the system to unload Atmosphere?
Just to backup saves? I'd say pretty low. Assuming you kept it offline the entire time. If you were to restore saves, that's more iffy. I know they're keeping an eye on Splatoon 2 cheating, so I wouldn't restore that (more specifically, I wouldn't restore an older version of a save than you've gone online with). How at risk am I of a ban if I'll I've done is load Atmosphere onto my Switch for the sole purpose of using Checkpoint to back up my saves then rebooting the system to unload Atmosphere?
Saves I'm mainly wanting to back up are my MHGU and MHXX saves cause fuck losing the 800+ combine hours getting to G4 and Hunter Rank 126(GU) and Hunter Rank 88(XX).Just to backup saves? Nintendo cannot scan the SD card for contents (would be a privacy violation if they did so). And even if they hypothetically could scan the contents of an SD card, that doesn't mean the console is hacked. Daily reminder that Nintendo doesn't ban people for piracy (piracy gets you arrested), they ban people for hacking their console. If there is an EmuNAND partition stored in the system itself, that is point-blank evidence you hacked the console because it is literally impossible to modify the Switch's internal storage system without hacking. Can anyone confirm with technical information on why some people are saying that emunand on Nand is worse than Nand on SD, I mean, the nintendo could do a check on both right? Nintendo do make checks on SD to search for pirated games, why not a Emunand on a partition that should not have a Nand? SX OS receives hate for anything they have done, why not this is the same situation ?
did anyone determine yet if a real physical cart ran on a banned switch poisons a brand new switch?
