Yesterday I was updating a Reinand 9.2 o3ds from a cousin(My 3DS works perfectly) to Luma because she updated the emunand(Don't know which version), and I had to update to Luma. I followed every aspect of the 3ds.guide, like I did with my 3DS. But when the home menu launched, with the menu, the games, etc of the emunand(In sysnand of course) didn't launch, instead the console freeze. I can't use the buttons because they don't work either, I must use the touchscreen, and can't even launch the settings app. If I use the power button, the console don't turn off normally, I have to do the "Keep the button 10 seconds". But, something I can without effort is launch Luma Chainloader, the Start+Power works perfectly fine, and I can do whatever I like

I have thought of formating the SD and try again, but the saves will be lost for sure(I thought everything was fine and erased the backup from my PC, except for the NAND backup)

So, I don't know what to do, I have searched everywhere, and the only thing I have found was something from 2 years ago, and is hard to do(I could try, but I would prefer an easier solution if able)

Here are a few things you can try (in order):

First of all, make sure you're running the latest Luma, which is 9.1. You can check by holding Select on boot and looking at the top screen.

Remove any game card that might be in the 3DS and retry, sometimes cards (especially corrupt/defective ones) can cause strange issues with the home menu

Format your SD card and check it for errors
  1. Copy all the data off the microSD to a folder on your PC
  2. Download Guiformat and use it to format the microSD card with 32kb cluster size
  3. Use h2testw to test if the microSD card is not fake and to test for any errors
  4. Once it's done, delete the test files from the microSD
  5. Copy everything back onto the microSD, and put it back in the 3DS, and see if the issue has been solved
Clear the homemenu extdata, follow this

Try performing a CTRTransfer, follow this

So, I checked everything and still no solution
I run lume 9.1 and B9S 1.3, I don't have any card besides the SD removed, and formated and checked errors. After that, I cleared homemenu extdata, with gm9 mode, and performed a CTRTransfer, and the same happens, with the only difference being that the games previously installed and the home menu theme, have disappeared
I have try updating(Via Safe boot) the 3DS to the last version, but it stills happens, and I can't turn on the 3DS without the card, because the boot.firm must be installed, and I hadn't the chance(And I am really scared of installing via gm9)

So, don't know what to do know, I tried to restore the NAND, but gm9 said there is no usable restoring point even thought I made a backup during the luma installation

I have installed my 3DS and one from another cousin with Luma3DS, and this is the third one, and I have no clue what went wrong

Why are you scared of installing boot.firm to CTRNAND with GM9? There's absolutely no risk

He said he already checked for errors

Okay, I installed the boot.firm and now I can turn the 3DS without the SD, and without the SD, the same problem happens, in the home menu, I can't launch anything(No game, no SD), so, maybe it's a softbrick of some kind?

Then probably he needs another SD card. @Furipe where you got that SD card from?

https://quantumcat1.github.io/9.2.0-ctrtransfer.html

He can try this one, 11.5 has some problem for some people, the 9.2.0-20 one work fine for most people I suggested to.

It's a Kingston 32Gb my cousin bought a year before, the kind of SD that is a microSD with an adapter

I will try the ctrtransfer with 9.2 right now

EDIT

Well, I did the ctrtransfer with 9.2 and, in 9.2, the buttons don't work(L+R can activate the camera mode, but when you exit, the console freeze returning to home menu) and using the touchscreen trying to use any app(Like settings) don't do anything(Besides sound)

I'm trying to do a sysupdate from safe mode
