Were you disconnected from internet? If you have "check for new version" checked it will look for a new version when you run the app

Just a heads-up....

Chessmaster: The Art of Learning will white-screen on an R4 if I trim it with NDSTokyoTrim beta. Works fine untrimmed.

Might want to look into that.

One of brian's policy is that he will only look into it if another trimmer does it right so post your results with other trimmers otherwise BrianTokyo will not look into it.

Here's an interesting twist......the first time I trimmed it with the beta, it didn't work. Tried the official R4 trimmer and it worked. Same file size too. For kicks, I tried it AGAIN with the beta....this time it worked! The only difference was that the first time I used the beta, I trimmed it along with CSI Dark Motives. This time I trimmed it by itself.

Very strange.

Hi Brian thanks for the hard work.

It works fine here.

Can you turn off by default the autocheck for upgrade at first start to avoid the previous posted error when firewall deny access or no internet access is avalaible.

It also hangs further ( no window visible ) when a new instance is launched if i don't turn it off after first launch. I've got a box "connection aborted on request" when i finally force fully close it.

Beta hangs after displaying a box when there is not enough space on hard drive too.

Just tried this, seems to be a problem with the 7z DLL, maybe a future version will fix that. (my tests with other 7z files work fine though)

It's a solid compressed Nintendogs archive:

Code:
C:\dir /b "Best Friends"
0154 - Nintendogs - Best Friends (U) (Trashman).nds

C:\dir /b "Chihuahua"
0042 - Nintendogs - Chihuahua & Friends (J) (Brassteroid Team).nds
0089 - Nintendogs - Chihuahua & Friends (U) (Lube).nds
0124 - Nintendogs - Chihuahua & Friends (E) (Trashman).nds

C:\dir /b "Dachshund"
0075 - Nintendogs - Mini Dachshund & Friends (J) (Trashman).nds
0091 - Nintendogs - Dachshund & Friends (U) (Lube).nds
0123 - Nintendogs - Dachshund & Friends (E) (Trashman).nds

C:\dir /b "Dalmatian"
0466 - Nintendogs - Dalmatian & Friends (E)(M5).nds
0608 - Nintendogs - Dalmatian & Friends (U).nds

C:\dir /b "Labrador"
0068 - Nintendogs - Shiba & Friends (J) (PROJECTG).nds
0090 - Nintendogs - Labrador & Friends (U) (Lube).nds
0102 - Nintendogs - Labrador & Friends (E) (Squirrels).nds

When I choose a file to extract and trim, it shows the progress bar filling up but when it's done I get a dialog saying there was an error when extracting the file.

Edit: Ok - I moved the files out of the folders and recompressed them into one 7z archive and I get "7zip extraction error.". So this has nothing to do with having folders in the archive - it's something else.

Yes of course it works if the box is uncheck but it hangs if not... no a problem for me but for newbies it is always better to avoid such things especially if they use silent firewall with no log.

I update my previous post with a hard drive low space issue ( code 112 ). ( i suck i know ;-)

Well i started to use Rominator to trim and organize my roms, but ever since the new version came out of it, its been total crap. So many issues with it, i think i would rather root a dog then use Rominator again (okay maybe not root a dog, but you get my point), i decided to give your trimmer ago and plus the anime chick is gold and nice to look at while waiting. I trimmed 40+ roms, it was done so fast and they all worked, and you also seem to bring out lots of updates which i like.

Fucking awesome work mate keep it up and i want to have your babies.
