The amount of petty fights and offtopic posts in here is ridiculous. There's a simple topic here, its not that difficult to stay on target with discussion.
I'm not going trough all the points of your manifesto, but the one creating spam and drama is hexkyz himself. If you're doing a research and then pointing fingers, you should show some proof and statistics before saying "tx's brick code is more likely to be trigger than I thought". What's the chance? How damaging it is? What are the options to reverse it? etc. He should finish his research and point out the facts before shouting negative tweets about a company that he openly despises, which just results in confusion and fear among users - something that is the opposite effect of a research.
Chary, simon post in previous page screams off topic all over the place, yet it still there. Don't want to be that guy but, there should be more equallity in the type of post being deleted...The amount of petty fights and offtopic posts in here is ridiculous. This just proved that the brick code exists, which is something we know. But what's the chance? How damaging it is? What are the options to reverse it? etc. Instead of provinding more info about this, he goes ahead to spread more "mass panic" saying it's more damaging than he thought (what's the base?). This brick code could be something so rare to trigger (so far only he reported triggering it by himself) or easily reversible (as he himself reversed his brick and naehrwert stated that the password for the brick code is something like "WANNA PLAY?") that it could mean no harm at all. You can defend his "research" as much as you like, but it still stands (as for now) as a sensationalist research"All this will be discussed in a future write-up by @naehrwert and myself, but in the mean time, if you are that eager to disprove us, feel free to run their "data_80000000.bin" payload using something like hekate. Reboot your console and enjoy the brick magic!" - https://twitter.com/hexkyz/status/1012363021124079622
It's always hilarious when people are obviously wrong. It's just sad when you're able to look back at everything when it gets proven and see how many people spew falsities and ignorance and won't admit it still.
The OS hasnt been fully cracked yet, but the know what's the chance of triggering the brick code. I swear they sound so phony, you really need to hate TX to give that post any creditThis just proved that the brick code exists, which is something we know. But what's the chance? How damaging it is? I think the equality is that if it’s against the rules it gets deleted. It is still surprising that no one has considered battling xecuter with a community open source backup loader... This will literally destroy them.
As much as some devs here are anti-piracy people, if you hate so much team xecuter and are doing nothing to stop preventing them to earn more money, YOU ARE part of the problem too.
Sure, there are more important stuff to develop, but if you will constantly moan and scream seeking for attention instead of battling them, then what the hell are you expecting? For people to stop buying tx stuff? Sure, you are doing an excellent effort doing that.

This is just my theory, but its probably staying up because its anti-piracy which GBATemp totally is according to the Terms & Rules /sChary, simon post in previous page screams off topic all over the place, yet it still there. >respected developersI find threads like this amusing...
Here we have several prominent, well respected developers pointing out that TX has stolen code, broken licenses and included badly designed "malware" into their product, and yet there are users who feel like they need to defend TX as if their life depended on it. Hexkyz does this shit for a living, there is close to none that understand crypto as well as he does in the scene.
Anyone who knows their history, or bothered to do any reading whatsoever would be able to understand why TX has no credibility or respect in the established scene.
Now this is a elegant and true statement. If only it was the first post we could've avoided so many pages...Fact: TX is a little shady
Fact: It can brick yo switch if you mess with it
Fact: Some scene dude is looking into it
Fact: No regular user has straight bricked yet
Literally everything else: extrapolated fearmongering, unproven rumors, and hyperbole

Could you explain why for someone who is new to the scene?
